    Pros

There's a lot of opportunity to innovate and be recognized if you are willing to put in the time. You get a good vibe at Overstock that you don't get at other companies. It could be because the people like each other and generally enjoy coming to work. It could also be because the CEO and President care as much about people as they do about growing the business. Either way, it's a great place to find a home.

    Cons

Too many special projects can be overwhelming at times.

    Advice to Management

Take time to enjoy the wins.

    Cons

Can't think of significant cons work wise, but SLC gets real cold.

    Advice to Management

Keep the focus on the niche area that Overstock can excel in.

    Pros

It's a fast-paced, energized, open environment, filled with some of the smartest, most passionate people I've ever met. Considering the overall size of the company, the organization is relatively flat; if you have an innovative idea you want to pursue, this is the place to make it happen. I have never been in such a soul-filled, energized, exciting environment.

    Cons

There are so many amazing ideas, but not enough hours and/or developers to pursue them all at the same time.

    Advice to Management

Create an overarching project priority list, and communicate this throughout the company (especially when priorities change).

    Pros

Good flexible work environment, good benefits, fair compensation, challenging work, good opportunities to move around in the company. Overall a good company to work for.

    Cons

Many competing and changing priorities. Some of this is warranted given the nature of online business but this could be managed better.

    Advice to Management

Company needs an overall strategic focus.
