Current Employee – been working at Owens & Minor full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – There are a lot of good people that work there.)
Cons – Communication is bad, I find out whats going on from coworkers before I hear from management. Management does not address internal problems asap. Days/nights can be long (10hrs+).
Advice to Senior Management – Lack of recognition from management with the same cheap t-shirts every year gets old. Little to no training for new hires causes major problems for everyone.

Former Employee – worked at Owens & Minor full-time for more than a year
Pros – Quarterly bonuses. I don't have any other positive things to say.
Cons – Unqualified supervisors. Lying by supervisors and warehouse mgr. Too much favoritism. Crude, imature, sexist and racist behavior by co-workers. Terrible HR dept. Always worried about the bottom line.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire better quality people! Treat people with respect. More training for supervisors and leads. Enforce policies and rules. Promote people who deserve a promotion.

Current Employee – been working at Owens & Minor full-time for more than a year
Pros – You know your paycheck is coming every 2 weeks. The employees are helpful and friendly.
Cons – No room for advancement. Managers have no time management skills. Alot of favortism. The JAX DC has no "team" effort. Example: Do as I say but NOT ad I do.
Advice to Senior Management – Your workers are a valuable assest to the company. There is nothing wrong with reminding them of your appreciation. Workers need to be motivated instead of discouraged. Let people know how their productivity is on a weekly basis. I dont know what advice to give to people who are suppose to be educated and trained for a management position?! Maybe you guys could use workshops for supervisor. ????

Current Employee – been working at Owens & Minor
Pros – IF you are an actual employee, you make plenty of money and get great benefits.
Cons – Temp employees are not offered any benefits and are kept as temp employees for years, until their position ends and then they are let go with no help. I was recently told that I was not getting a raise, despite exceeding all job job goals and never taking a day off (because I can't afford to)
Advice to Senior Management – I would treat your temp employees more fairly
