started off great went down hill from there

Server/Hostess (Former Employee)
Atlanta, GA

I worked at P.F. Chang's part-time for more than a year

Prosthe co-workers, money, discount for food

Consmoney, management, management, management, and corporate. the values for his company completely change within the course of a year. Guests realized it and so did employees. Unfortunately it was for the worse. They are too concerned with fading out, what they don't know is they are doing it to themselves

Advice to Senior ManagementThoroughly interview people you want to bring in from outside the company, as far as other management is concerned. They are left with quick training, thinking they know everything when they have no idea about the culture our what it means... it meant to work at PF Changs

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

It sucks

Sous Chef (Current Employee)

I have been working at P.F. Chang's full-time for more than 8 years

ProsThe pay is pretty good, and you get good benefits

Conswork life balance is horrible, managent doesnt give two s**ts about you or anything about your life at all. Be expected to work at least 55 hours every week if your management

Advice to Senior Managementneed to stop only thinking about the company and find more of a balance

No Growth

Manager (Current Employee)
Omaha, NE

I have been working at P.F. Chang's full-time for more than 3 years

ProsThe young staff are fun to work with and appreciate mentoring with potential for personal as well as professional growth

ConsStore is in disarray. There is no communication from upper management. No raises. No growth opportunity. Kitchen is a total mess.

Advice to Senior ManagementGive your hard working employees an opportunity for company growth- stop outsourcing jobs- or you may lose your management team. COMMUNICATE and give annual reviews and salary increases. Reward the hard work. Quit talking the talk and walk it...

Initially great. Then became less fun quickly.

Manager (Former Employee)
Charlotte, NC

I worked at P.F. Chang's full-time for more than a year

ProsManagers eat free, very nice staff, good food product. Benefits in line. Awesome Area Partners, upper level management has good intentions. Execution at store level weak, Operating Partner cruel. Definitely wrong person.

ConsManager turnover extreme. Operating Partners don't want you to move up, they may lose their job!

Advice to Senior ManagementRegain the Culture, its long gone in Phillips Place Charlotte. Perhaps a "do -over".
Freshen the place up, re-light the fire.

No opportunities for advancement or more income

Culinary Partner (Former Employee)
Fairfax, VA

I worked at P.F. Chang's full-time for more than 10 years

ProsThis place used to be the best place to work for, I worked 15 years but the past 6 months are being the worst.

ConsI don't like where the company is going anymore. From COO and above make money, anything below are making less and less every year. Keep switching bonus structure but convenient to corp and no the employee, is hard and almost impossible to beat targets to make bonus when company is loosing sales. Concentrate on bottom line only. Regardless if they are loosing customers that way. Lot of partners lost big bucks this last 6months

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up what you are doing and you will be the next Olive Garden. Remember you get for what you paid for. Bring low salaries employees you will get low results.

eh

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at P.F. Chang's part-time for less than a year

Prosmy coworkers are great and everyone tries to help each other

Consplace is very disorganized and management concentrates on the wrong things. The place is asking me to claim tips that I in turn tip out to other staff, so I am claiming more money than I am actually making......................

Slowly getting bogged in corporate nonsense

Server (Current Employee)
Minneapolis, MN

I have been working at P.F. Chang's full-time for more than 5 years

ProsFlexible scheduling is really about all I have to say positively about PF anymore. They have drop benefits while adding more and more asine service steps to the job.

ConsConstant micromanaging from top brass downward. With every misguided change come more work for less money. Inability to adapt with the culture. Inability to allow regional stores to respond to issues regionally over the corporate status quo.

Advice to Senior ManagementStart consulting people who are actually serving on ways to improve. Stop micromanaging every aspect of service on the floor, it stunts your workers and drives them away.
