    Pros

The best thing about this company is that you are in control of your paycheck. If you are willing to work hard and do the right things for the first 2 years you will be making the money you are looking for! It is all about seeing the forest through the trees!

    Cons

The first 2 years are difficult, and the pay is low to begin with. Once you establish your book of business the job is much more enjoyable and financially lucrative!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a way to make the first 2 years a bit easier on the sales people - nobody wants to work for 25K a year!

    Pros

Everyone is very helpful. Management is always there to answer questions and the people are friendly. You can easily get ahold of upper management and they are flexible in terms of time off. Perks are great and the compensation is average.

    Cons

Resistant to some change and raises are minimal (2-3%). Can be a "boys club," as can any other organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider changing your approach to sales. Cold calling isn't all the rage anymore.

    Pros

The pay is great, company bonuses around every corner, the culture is friendly and supportive.

    Cons

The workload is intense and as in any sales community you start at the bottom and work your way to the top.

    I worked at PC Connection

    Pros

Great coworkers, systems are technologically advanced, and great support from management. Company supports and promotes training for sales staff. Professional at all times.

    Cons

The workspace cubes were too small. There isn't many downsides of working at PC Connection. I would say the downside for me is that I am not working there anymore.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Many of the training staff was removed during the layoffs PC Connection had back in 2009. Recently a training specialist position has been posted. It would of been nice to receive feedback on why I was not called back.
