    Small, but quickly growing company

Process Engineer (Former Employee) Counce, TN

ProsThis company is very smart with their investments and the way they treat their employees. Over the years they have accrued little debt, and as a result have grown very well in the past few years. Employees are given great opportunities for advancement while providing well balanced management.

ConsThe locations of most of their mills are in small, rural towns that some potential employees may not find agreeable.

Advice to Senior ManagementRecruit younger people willing to live in small towns, or ones that already have families.

    Overall, very rewarding

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGood pay and benefits. The "Golden Rule" culture is not just spoken about but they legitimately try to put it into practice. The company offers many great training opportunities and strives to build into their people.

ConsWork/Life balance is difficult to achieve. Worked many, many 60-70 hour weeks with little choice in the matter.

PCA was a fast-paced workplace that required long hours and dedication.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Valdosta, GA

ProsFriendly people, not a lot of office politics, hands-on environment. Everyone is fairly accessible and helpful. Managers are understanding and employees are always willing to help and teach.

ConsManufacturing comes with a lot of drawbacks, such as long hours when a piece of equipment is down, or high stress due to contractor failure.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe salaried employees should get more benefits, as during the long shut downs they do not get adequately compensated for 110 hour work weeks.

    Frustrating

    Sales Representative (Current Employee)

ProsGreat People, treated well, sense of team, golden rule enviroment

ConsSells to 5% of the market(I was told when hired I coud sell anyone anywhere), narrow window to sell, do not sell brown box truckload street business anymore, need complex sales to be successful. Commission rate lowest in industry because it is based on margin and volume, you can forget about the margin side of it. PCA pricing system is set up for the house. They keep individual sales awards a secret for some unexplained reason.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease review your commission structure. The field sales team is being adversely effected, while the company continues to be the most profitable in the industry,
