Pros – Job is fast paced, but the work environment is great. It is a young and fun workplace, so that makes the day go by pretty fast. There's no limit to how much money you can make, which is great as a recent college grad.
Cons – It is a sales job, which isn't always easy and can be stressful at times. There are high expectations as far as number of calls and deals won, but it can be pretty rewarding.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to your employees, they are the life blood of the business.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I have been working at PLS Logistics Services full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Commission based position which allows you to earn what your worth. Level of effort is directly related to the paycheck that is collected. More casual environment than some places. Management has relaxed the dress code which is a plus. Management is also trying to keep moral positive by having contests, lunches, etc. We try to all find humor in our daily routines!
Cons – Commission based pay can be a con as well. Common fluctuations in the market and create ups and downs in your customer's daily shipments, which affect your pay. Lack of efficiency in other departments can be concerning when those departments are a part of your day to day. It would be nice to have a compensation plan to accomodate vacations and holidays. Hours can be long. If this is a first job out of college, it may be an "awakening". It is not easy.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue to change as the industry dictates.

Pros – PLS in Jacksonville has the most competent management team I have ever worked for. They have a lot invested in you, and seem to do everything in their power to make sure you succeed. Everybody that works there is very helpful and really gives off a team atmosphere, which is rare for a commissioned job. It is a young workplace with the majority of workers there under 30 years old. If you are successful, you will be handsomely rewarded in things other than just a bigger paycheck (golf outings, gift cards, lunches, etc.)
Cons – It is a stressful job and is NOT for everybody. Management wants you to succeed, but if they feel that you are not the right type of personality for this job, you will be let go pretty early on. You will take a lot of crap from people (customers or carriers) if something goes wrong that you actually had no control over. You will deal with rejection 50 times for every one good phone call you have. You will work long hours and only have 5 holidays off. This is not the job for you if lots of time off is high on your list of expectations.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work. No real complaints about management.

Pros – Great atmosphere and work environment. Overall fellow employees are easy to get along with. They give you all the means to be successful and make good money at an early age. As others have said, you only get out of this job what you put in.
Cons – Stress and long hours are the main cons of this job.
Advice to Senior Management – Management in the Jacksonville office does a good job of making you feel like they have your back and are invested in your business.

I have been working at PLS Logistics Services
Pros – It's a large workforce that is young and easygoing. Dual monitors at each desk. Good people that are willing to help. Computer and phone based job. Relatively close to Pittsburgh. Fully commissionable after 9 months with the company. Not much corporate politics found at many other white collar jobs. Big earning potential for young 20 somethings.
Cons – Long hours 55-60 hr/wk. Heavy expectations on cold calling and solicitation through telemarketing. Days generally start at 7:45am and go until past 5:30pm. You're a salesman and will have benchmarks to meet in order to progress and keep your job. Success is not guaranteed. Heavy industry focus.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep employees informed on what's expected of them. Provide more feedback on goals and strategies to be more effective. Fine tune the training process.

Pros – There is a good management team here that cares about their employees and offers good opportunity to make money and advance throughout a career.
Cons – They lack locations around the United States if you decide to move or are a mobile person. I am looking to leave the company as I plan to move in the near future.
Advice to Senior Management – The management at this company is sound and treat their employees well. It is a good place to work if you want to stay in the area.
