    Pros

Friendly and helpful co-workers. Gradually becoming acclimated with job and position while not being too overwhelmed.

    Cons

On-boarding process was long. Can understand level of security but the process of getting access to requried software/user groups was tiresome.

    Advice to Management

Technology could stand to be better. Using some outdated tools and slow networks make it harder to do my job.

    Pros

    Wonderful coworkers and customers
    Great bank with respected reputation
Safeguards in place to encourage growth and development

    Cons

    High turnover rate
    (Perhaps due to) Low pay

    Advice to Management

It would probably be more cost-effective to pay your employees more - even for entry level jobs because a good employee ultimately saves the bank from a host of fraudulent activities - because it would greatly reduce the turnover rate.

    Pros

They had a very good work to file balance in the IT department. Pay was decent, PTO was not the best 10 days plus the bake holidays (10 more days).

    Cons

Not huge raises, and some after hours support.

    Advice to Management

High performers need to be compensated to keep talent.

    Pros

Discounted back-up child care!!! Paid time off, opportunity for overtime, supportive environment, quarterly bonuses, insurance, 401k, tuition reimbursement, opportunity for actual promotions (not just managerial, corporate also).

    Cons

People don't like banks. As an introvert, the outgoing social environment and required engagement of the hundreds of other employees at the call center is draining, but again that's a personal con, would be a pro if you're a social butterfly

    Advice to Management

Accommodate the introverts. Many of us are more successful without the constant buzz and forced engagement

    Pros

lots of activities planned for interns, very structured, 3 day training in Pittsburgh, PA at headquarters, a lot of networking opportunities

    Cons

was the only intern placed in my office unlike the other offices which had 10+ so had to do a lot of the things interns did together on my own. direct supervisor was a vp so never got to work closely with him

    Advice to Management

connect interns with managers at lower levels who are more likely to be spending more time with intern in office/are able to delegate work to intern

    Pros

Truly recognized as a leader within the branch. Many opportunities with this skill set and experience. The company emphasizes internal referrals to the financial consultant.

    Cons

Misalignment within management. There is a lot of turnover in this role. Things still being figured out as this is a position formed just a few years ago. Vacation time is limited.

    Pros

Excellent people. Solid core values. Stability. Some growth opportunity.

    Cons

Bank is growing and becoming more concerned with The Street. Products are being pushed without concern for true profitability. Management is rewarding bankers that do the wrong things.

Medical Insurance did get worse the past few years, it used to be really good when I first started now its all high deductibles.

Do not like the vision insurance either

vacation is on the low end only 2 weeks until you get to 5 years service

Retail Banking is very underpaid I think
