Opportunity for implementing fresh ideas, creating stucture and developing process and procedures to benefit internal and external client needs.

    Cons

Very abusive leadership at high levels, specific to health care organization.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

... because you need a job and that you hope you can get insurance. or that maybe just maybe it doesn't quite sound as excruticatingly painful as it seems on paper, so you give yourself a pep talk and do it anyways

    Cons

micromanagement of the highest order. Was made to sit at a card table that i was unable to pull my office chair that had NO arm rests. under the table because the chair was not fancy enough to be adjusted. requiring me to sit at my card table and do these awful awful claims all day wrencking my back and arms. ridiculous

    Advice to Management

my advice to management it to absolutely clean house or sell the business and outsource it all to india

    Pros

Compensation is competitive, but that's about it.

    Cons

All I.T. workers are admins and engineers, but no managers. But there are plenty of I.T. directors managing very small groups (less than 5 people). The company invests very little in an aging and problematic infrastruture, putting systems and client services at risk. Closed door policy. No career advancement, no training, i.T. is stagnant.

    Advice to Management

Internal audit of complete I.T. department from external auditing firm is highly recommended.

    Pros

Pay and benefits are acceptable. However the instability of the company is not worth it.

    Cons

Hostile work environment. Management does not care for employees. It is all about the bottom line. Management has no issue with hollering at staff in meetings.

    Advice to Management

Realize happy employees make great employees

    Pros

Commercial knowledge which you have to be proactive about. Top mgt have great visions and they "talk the talk"

    Cons

Really bad line management with zero interpersonal skills, majority of staff have no ambition to further their careers so everyone is depressed and take out frustration in work; really rubbish commission scheme amounts to barely any extra on payday so company gets away with paying us peanuts. Once I get better opportunity I'm outta here!

    Advice to Management

Hire external professionals to give mgt proper leadership training, also stop wasting money on tools which never see the light of day instead invest in your employees and increase salaries

    Pros

The work can be interesting and/or challenging at times. The companies clients are very good, very well respected, and pleasant to work with.

    Cons

Communication within the company is horrible, the people that I worked with were unprofessional, uncooperative, and difficult to work with. Management had little or no respect or consideration of those who worked for them. The company seems more interested in their bottom line than they do about their people due to their decision to outsource some of the work overseas.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, improve communication between management and non-management, establish reasonable goals that are attainable to your employees, provide greater opportunities and incentives for employees to grow and move up in the company. Stop killing jobs by sending work overseas and instead find more creative ways to cut costs and be more effecient.
