A good company as long as you have a good boss.

PSAV Sales Manager - Hotel Divisions (Former Employee)
    Orlando, FL

ProsI had a lot of flexibility with my supervisor. He made working there convenient and efficient. Projects can easily become fun and creative allowing the sales manager to be unique in what is proposed to the client.

ConsWorking with different managers who are too tight or have the wrong vision can easily make this an undesirable job. Workload is not evenly distributed throughout the year however it is not necessarily a con/ There is a clear busy and slow season so keep this in mind when calculating your commission checks!

Advice to Senior ManagementHave confidence in your team. No complaints really. A lot of positive changes have been made compared to my first and last year.

In line with industry standard for this kind of company.

    Director Event Technology (Current Employee)

ProsIncreasing training support, plenty of opportunities open for mobility

Consseparation between on-site operations versus c-level execs, lots of red tape to break through the ceiling

Advice to Senior Managementcommunicate more often, offer realistic help and listen to your partners closely

    Secure & Challenging

PSAV Sales Manager - Hotel Divisions (Current Employee)

ProsGreat opportunity to move up and about in many different regions worldwide. Decent pay. Challenging but attainable goals.

ConsWork gets repetitive after a while but I guess that happens in most industries.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore money needs to be spent on keeping our equipment current.

Big company with an entrepreneurial spirit

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsAmbition and work ethic are rewarded. Thousands of locations mean a ton of opportunity, depending on what you want to do. Fiscally responsible with a good profit margin means stability.

ConsSome planning is a bit seat-of-the-pants. I don't know if this is at the executive level, or just because of poor inter-department planning. Nothing huge, but it creates some inefficiencies.

Advice to Senior ManagementBetter planning at the corporate level.

    It's up to you

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGreat chance for advancement if you apply yourself and get the job done. Your attitude and actions determine hoe far you go.

ConsIt's a service industry job that can have long irregular hour and is occasionally a thankless (from the client) role.

Advice to Senior ManagementTechs are not just labor hours... They have lives and loved ones. If you treat them with respect and are honest with them, they will give you more than just someone punching a time card.

    Progressive responsibility for top performers

    Human Resources (Former Employee)
    Schaumburg, IL

ProsTeam members have the opportunity to move up within the organization assuming they perform well and are flexible for next steps/locations. If you are open to learn new skills, speak up and you'll have more options.

ConsThere are often very long hours especially during busy season. Team members can get lost in the shuffle of over 1200 locations.

Advice to Senior ManagementCommunicate with ALL employees more regularly. Halt rumor mills with truth.
