I worked at PVH Corp. (Less than a year)

    Pros

financially strong company with optimistic future

    Cons

weak close-minded management below average compensation scale for levels under the upper crust sub-par computer systems

    Advice to Management

wake-up and realize the value of your employees (talk is cheap - reformative action works)

I have been working at PVH Corp. full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The job pays enough to cover bills. Insurance, 401 K, STD and paid holidays. Offers life insurance while employed.

    Cons

No chance for advancement, unless you know someone when entering employment. Gossip mill, bullying, lying too many trouble makers in one place (mostly women). Impossible to do the job given without interference of people who want to tear you down, so they can look better. Don't take this job unless you're a man or a jerk.

    Advice to Management

Install cameras in your departments, so you'll know what's REALLY going on. It will increase productivity, and get rid of bullies and lazy people.

I have been working at PVH Corp. full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The benefits are very good and include medical, 401K, vacation, holiday pay and store discounts.

    Cons

The pay is sub par as compared to other companies in apparel. Expectations are very high for such low compensation. Management doesn't have the employees best interest in mind and is more worried about their numbers and how they look to senior management. Favoritism is a problem and many good employees get overlooked because of it.

    Advice to Management

Learn that your employees are an asset and value them. Hire managers that have experience and an education in management. Not all mangers that have moved up to that position within the company are qualified.

I worked at PVH Corp. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Discount on clothes which made it a little bearable to work their but it was not worth it in the long run. The pay was horrible they need to keep up with the market.

    Cons

I worked in an old disgusting warehouse. The plant manager did not believe in using AC when it was hot or heat when it was cold. A monkey could do my job.

    Advice to Management

Promote people their is no way to move up people get tired of working the same positions.

I worked at PVH Corp. as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

My managers and coworkers were very friendly. Campus is beautiful, cafeteria is very good. Opportunity to travel to NYC for field events.

    Cons

My direct managers, for the most part, did not engage with me. There were days when I would not speak to a single manager beyond a "good morning" or "have a good night". Every morning I would ask for work, and I would be told "something will come down the pipe soon". There would be whole weeks that went by without a single assignment. There is no support for interns once you leave the program - no references will be provided as per company policy.

    Advice to Management

Provide references for your interns. Make sure your managers are actually participating in the internship program. I honestly believed that this would be the most challenging and rewarding 10 weeks of my early career but nearly everyday I found myself regretting my decision to intern with PVH.

I worked at PVH Corp. as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you are one of their "associates" you have it made. It's not your job performance, it is who you know and if management likes you.

    Cons

Temp help is treated as disposable trash. They do the very same work as full time associates, yet are never rewarded . They are excluded from every event that is offered. If you don't fit into their "high school clique" you don't have a hope of ever getting hired there. Too much favoritism.

    Advice to Management

PVH in Elkin NC is the most poorly managed company I have ever worked at. They definitely need a more up to date system to ensure that work flows at a constant pace. You are there 3 nights during the week sweeping the floors because there is no work to do and then made to work on weekends. And the hiring process is beyond ridiculous, you are not trying to get a job with the CIA, all their "ASSESSMENTS" and interviews are a waste of time, they already know who is going to be hired. It will be someone's sister, brother cousin etc. They are a hypocritical group of SNOBS!

    Pros

The only thing I can think of is you get paid weekly

    Cons

EVERYTHING! You get paid minimm wage are over worked they do not respect you scheduling wishes if you are in school & MANAGEMENT IS TOO CONCERNED TRYING TO DATE RATHER THAN DOING THEIR JOB

    Advice to Management

Perform YOUR duties, don't make false promises, DONT TRY TO DATE THE ASSOCIATES THEN GET MAD WHEN THEY DO NOT WANT YOU!
