    Pros

You get great benefits and vacation time, and PVH does a lot with corporate responsibility and there are opportunities for volunteer work.

    Cons

As an entry level employee, compensation and yearly increases are below average. Instead of investing in and growing their employees, they continually change job responsibilities in a way that is detrimental to career growth. Extremely high turnover and unhappy employees found on ever floor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maintain the hard-working, talented, and effective employees you have. Get rid of the small-mindedness where everyone has to wear every hat in the book and take on more and more work, and just hire people to do their jobs. It is a lot more beneficial to have three people working as an effective team to get work done, instead of having one person doing three people's jobs, barely above water.

    Pros

Health benefits and 401k plan, employee discount

    Cons

Lack of communication between departments - the right hand never seemed to know what the left was doing. The task load was heavy enough to warrant extra manpower, but we were not allowed to spend payroll hours. The district management was disrespectful and accusatory and when asked for assistance they gave the response of "figure it out yourself". Pressure to work overtime with no compensation. No bonus earned in over two years due to flawed system that did not reward for individual store accomplishments. The handling of upper management decisions to offload a brand was handled poorly and those field management who were let go were treated in a manner that was unbecoming.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your act together. Support your staff and give pay raises that are comparable to other like-minded companies.

    Pros

Work was good until the recession hit. The company closed the stores that the company owned in the mall.

    Cons

Typical retail setting. Lots of work, with little pay.

    Pros

great benefits, great job - meaning I love what I do and most of the people I work with

    Cons

Upper management micro-manages, work/life balance not a priority, made to feel like a bad employee if you don't work weekends and crazy hours

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your people with respect and they will be much happier, healthier, and more productive employees

    Pros

Had some of the friendliest coworkers, work environment was usually upbeat and engaging, customers recognized the brands and made it easy to sell product, loss prevention techniques would have been excellent had it of been utilized, payroll was very quick and organized, and the DISCOUNT WAS AMAZING!

    Cons

Management was very disappointing. Seniority was the key factor in job placement, not skill. Plus, management hired anyone and everyone, especially for floor supervisor, but never allowed associates to be promoted. Management also felt they could treat customers badly because they were "above the rules"
Salary/wage was awful. My merit raise and review were pitched because my manager requested off the day of my review. A person with a lower review than me was working the same amount of time and had a higher wage because his reviews were published.
Some rules were also very unclear, leaving management to enforce them their own way.
5-8 hours a week, even though they claimed I was extremely good at customer service.
I also put a lot of effort into my job and felt there was no recognition. I was just "another associate"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Mid-Level management should seriously consider the individuals they hire.
Ask the sales associates if they would like to be involved! They may want to stay with the company longer!

Great company that keeps acquiring millions by buying smaller companies to grow and expand our business and global presence.

    Cons

Do not value the everyday worker despite being one of the largest apparel manufacturers in the world.

    Pros

Company has insurance and the product is made with excellent quality. Overall, from listening to the customers, quality was the best thing about the merchandise.

    Cons

They do not promote within company like they say they do. They pay people coming in from the outside more money than a person who has been with company for years. They take advantage of you by making you do things beyond your job description and do not pay you for it. Just not a friendly company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stay away from this job.

    Pros

Stable work environment. Good traditional benefits. Depending on your manager, you can have a great working environment or not. I happen to have a great manager.

    Cons

Top heavy. Lots of directors and VPs, little implementation staff (CAD designers). Very political. Big discrepancy between management and non-management staff compensation, hence, lots of younger staff eventually quite. Good benefit from providing more progressive alternative benefits, such as work from home. Will pay you bare minimum salary compared to industry. Men get paid more in this company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get more diversity in upper management. Track statistics such as gender diversity in management, not just C-level and generational diversity. Make compensation more competitive and don’t just pay non-management staff bare minimum.
