    Pros

You are providing a wonderful service to PATIENTS who appreciate your efforts. Only one of the four technicians I worked with was supportive and made me feel like part of the team.

    Cons

One tech took all the credit for the good the team did as his own work with the bosses. Since the bosses are not around and the suck-up-brown-noser bluffs the bosses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider ALL the staff is contributing to the success of the team. Don't offend 99% of your staff by praising 1% for the best results.

    Pros

Move up quickly as long as management likes you.

    Cons

Your ideas and concerns aren't taken seriously. They will ask you to do things that are unethical.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees, try to understand where they're coming from.

    Pros

The people, the benefits, and you get to help people. If you do your job, you are okay and may even be recognized. It was always a very fair company to me. They seem to get alot of bad reviews but there were alot of layoffs in the past 2 years so that may be a contributing factor.

    Cons

Commission became harder to make with all the new Medicare laws. It is definately not the best place in the world to work, but you could do alot worse. It's not that I do not recommend the company, I don't recommend the industry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the field and if you say things are going to happen or change, make them happen faster.

    Pros

Good people, for the most part, but company's business model needs to be revamped if they are going to get out of their current negative performance

    Cons

Tough business, small to non-existent profit margins, some leadership doesn't know the business and it shows. Poor morale. Company needs to reinvent itself to succeed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Industry is changing--patients are there, but company needs to find a new approach.

One Speeding Ticket And You Cant Be A Driver

Former Employee - Delivery Driver in Rockford, IL

I worked at Pacific Pulmonary Services full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Never worked for them. I applied and was turned down despite excellent qualifications. If youve had a citation within 3 yrs... dont waste your time.

    Cons

Strict hiring requirement of a perfect driving record is necessary. Too bad. Everybody is guilty of speeding. Many tickets are a sign of an issue.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get a new insurance company

I have been working at Pacific Pulmonary Services

    Pros

My district was supportive, a great sales manager as far as sales training goes. If you are hitting your numbers there is a lot of freedom. Currently there is a commission plan in place allowing heavy hitters and those that work hard to make very good money.

    Cons

A lot of focus on numbers, goals for individuals and district do not coincide making it difficult for districts to hit goal, therefore making for very stressed out management. Poor upper management, a lot of hiring from outside the company, executives not understanding how things work on the sales level.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to/respect your sales people and your techs. Without them you'll have no success and poor Patient care.
