I have been working at Panasonic Avionics Corporation

    Pros

Good and growing company. Competitive salary and reasonable benefits. Pretty flexible, team and employee accommodating atmosphere.

    Cons

Very limited and scarce PTO provided when a new hire.... 12 or less days per year for first 3 years.
Limited upward or promotional opportunities if hired in as a senior.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase to new hire PTO allotment.

    Pros

clean, and simple. pay is decent. One of the easiest A&P jobs you can ever expect to have.

    Cons

pay is decent, however don't expect to make much in raises... After two years only a 1.05$ raise...Mcdonalds gets a 3$ raise after two years...

Laptops are fairly decent however one laptop must be shared by 3 employees making paper work a pain... not to mention the occasional laptop breakdown.

Promotions are close to none. Favoritism is clearly evident however this maybe only a localized situation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your supervisors aren't always right. Give credit where it is deserved.

I have been working at Panasonic Avionics Corporation (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Stable company. Moves in the right direction with regard to IFE, and has the infra-structure to keep its customers happy.

    Cons

Lot of bloat management. While moving in the right direction, it is not at breakneck speeds. Filled with processes (too many?).that do bog down the flow of a project.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove the silo mentality. There is a lot of "not my problem" mentality that exists.

I have been working at Panasonic Avionics Corporation full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Providing solutions to the customer is priority one; first rate technologists and coworkers; leadership in innovation for in-flight and global communication systems superior. Much to be learned from your co-workers.

    Cons

Be prepared to work long and hard hours--that is the culture. You can get ahead if you are outstanding in your field and have not made the mistake of crossing a member of upper management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As we become larger as an organization, don't forget our roots in avionics or the guidance provided by Konosuke Matsushia. You are getting a little top heavy and bureaucratic- this will not ensure your continued and future success.

I worked at Panasonic Avionics Corporation full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Easy to get a job when your a daisy fresh A&P (airframe and powerplant mechanic on airplanes), Good people willing to offer OJT to help you learn, Exciting work environment (you get to work on several different airlines aircraft) One of the largest players in the IFE game.

    Cons

Company is very cheap (they don't like to buy essential tools to get the job done like laptops, even though they manufacture some of the best laptops around (toughbooks), Promotions are hard to come by, unless you are a favorite, You will do the same job over and over with little new tasks added

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward the hard workers at the bottom with a chance to prove they can move up!
