    Pros

Benefits, although they have evolved and decreased over the years.

    Cons

Job security, used to be a company concerned for the people, but now it seems like they just want to get manufacturing out of the country.

Current Employee - Warehouse Technician I in DeKalb, IL

    Pros

Decent pay for the fairly relaxed environment, flex time, average vacation accrual. 401K. Never force overtime. Fairly easy to move between shifts because of the high turnover rate.

    Cons

After some time almost everyone falls into this pit of hating your job. The warehouse does not have an upbeat environment/culture in any way shape or form. Many times you will ask your foreman a question and they will answer you in a condescending manner or give you the answer that will just get you out of your office, not fix the problem, it gets frustrating,

    Pros

Good benefits, 401K match, New corporate headquarters.

    Cons

Lots of inner circles which most of the times work against them selves. Within the last 5 years the company has changed from a family owned company that cared about its employees and products to a company that was more concerned with following the industry standard and volume of products sold.. Quality of products tanked once production was sent over seas.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to practice what they preach. Promote from within stop passing up internal qualified talent.

  6.

Hired as an intern in 2012 as a sophomore in college. 40 hours per week at about $10/hr.

    Pros

Exposure to many departments. Excellent learning opportunity for a current undergraduate in Business, Economics, Finance, or related discipline. Great food in the cafeteria.

    Cons

Internships were fairly unstructured. Most work was ad hoc and a sizable portion was mundane. Not much room for advancement.

  7.

    Cons

    micro-managed
    no opportunity for growth
    all women... lots of drama
    high turn over rate

    Pros

Some of the positives include reasonable employee benefits like 401k matching, decent insurance, flexible work schedule (somewhat), and reasonable salaries.

    Cons

Company still operates in the old world - salaried employees clock in, employee review and compensation plans are a joke, company seems to make efforts to modernize, but too slow and incomplete efforts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stick with a strategy/plan and follow through

Once a great company, now a okay company, headed toward bad

    Current Employee - Staff Manufacturing
    Current Employee - Staff Manufacturing

    Pros

Above average pay for manufacturing, average pay for flex-time, mon-fri business hours, global company, known for highest quality on market, decent benefits package

    Cons

Since the founder, Jack C, has passed down the company to his family successors, the company is headed toward disaster. Panduit's quality and market has always been aimed at contractors and developers, but now the company is focused on fancy logos and eye catching marketing, something our customers have never cared about. Our company wide web portal has more time and energy spent on it than our product and yet 3/4 employees have no business on it. 3-4 times a year you will be pulled away from your normal duties and into a brainstorming event called "Lean Events". The goal Lean is to cut cost, reduce waste, but they create numerous unsustainable projects resulting in more waste then previously. Panduit even has full-time positions to support Lean events. Aside from Lean, they created another week long event to outline to essential duties and task of a procedure called "TWI" (training within industry). Another event Panduit would be more profitable without. (You would not believe how many white boards/poster boards we create to show off 'results' when we could actually be working) These wasteful implemented programs, and like minded attitudes will eventually be the reason Panduit falls from global leader in electrical solutions into mediocre cable tie provider.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Panduit achieved greatness by the way Jack led the company- happy employees+quality simple product= satisfied repeat customers. As it is today, you have created a hostile "dog eat dog" work culture resulting in fearful employees, suffering quality, and lingering customers. I'm currently looking elsewhere for another career.

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Good pay, and the facilities are quite close to chicago. Flex time is always nice. Everyone is very nice.

    Cons

The workforce is older, and there is not a very fun culture. Also the intern program is not structured in the best way.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Add more structure or more of a plan to the intern process.
