I worked at Panera Bread part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Easy work, food was amamzing, and discount for the employees.

    Cons

Management or I should say the wrost I have seen.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

take the time to understand you people. Make people want to stay with your company. Making it known that " I can hire anyone and none of you matter" is the wrong attitude in management.

I have been working at Panera Bread full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

If you put in the effort you will get promoted. Show interest and competence and it will happen
incredibly flexible scheduling - great for those in college.
The coworkers are normally a very close knit group. I have made a ton of friends there

    Cons

Low pay. Will work incredibly hard for minimal raises. Management does not consider when minimum wage increases that long-term older employees should get compensated accordingly. No benefits for shift supervisors.

I have been working at Panera Bread part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Some managers are nice, some customers are nice, but demands you to be kind in return, helps community.

    Cons

little pay for what is demanded, no tips, throws you into job for a few days, then starts computer training, some managers are not to keen to help.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do computer training first! Help assosiates out instead of hiding in office with food, dont complain to an assosiate for needing to contact parents on phone if they are working a double for you and then talk to your significant other on your cell, DONT be hypocritical, respect is earned not given!

I have been working at Panera Bread

    Pros

Discounts, great co- workers, company's intentions on giving back to the people, with donations.

    Cons

Disorganized managers, never great at the communication between employer to employeee. Cut hours, a lil discrimination Wish they promoted by intelligence than favoritism.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not to assume the worst from your employees, take responsibility for mistakes. Stop cutting people hours last minute, stop hiring kids to be in management.

I worked at Panera Bread full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You meet a lot of great people working here. Discounted food and most of the time customers are great.

    Cons

No benefits unless you're a manager. Get called in a lit on your days off due to people being no shows.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize your to employees and train them for management instead of hiring outside and then not knowing anything. Give more raises than once a year... If that to encourage continued success.

I have been working at Panera Bread part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great easy environment to work in. If this is your first job, I highly recommend trying it out! Helps later down the road having this experience!

    Cons

When I first started working there at 16 it was great! I worked there for about a year and then (most likely this was just because my cafe started having problems) everything became crazy!!! The managers started not caring and as a trainer it was frustrating that they would have sassy and lazy new hires!! It was a huge problem (among other things). Almost every good/ veteran employee (about 6 of us) quit within a month. Also.... if you are looking for a company to grow in this is not it!! It took 3 years for someone to promoted 1 LEVEL UP to shift supervisor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure you can keep your employees on task! Do not be afraid to actually act like the boss! PLEASE PLEASE spend the most time training people! Your store can never grow if the new people never know what to do!
