    Pros

    -Corporate Culture
-65% discount (Which is quite necessary considering how expensive the food is)
    -Caring management

    Cons

-Staff did not care about customer service

    Advice to Management

Hire better people even if that means having to look for people who live 20 or more minutes away

    Pros

Great growing national brand and leader in it's category.

    Cons

Company still trying to figure out how to stay relevant and compete with all the new-comers to the segment.

    Advice to Management

SImplify. Be consistently good at fewer things.

    Pros

Very flexible with hours, good company values, managers are willing to work around school and family! Loved working here

    Cons

Customers can be very rude. The new system panera is trying out makes your job harder than it has to be sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Managers are sometimes unprofessional and tried too much to mingle with the associates rather than actually do their own job.

    Pros

    65% on food
    Work with your schedule

    Cons

    Understaffed store= high stress
    GM has favorites

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the stressing Shift Supervisor and the store will not be going downhill

There are high expectations for attitude, detail, and urgency which will frustrate you but also teach you a lot.

    Pros

Working in a high stress environment with a small group of people creates an almost family like atmosphere.
The food is delicious and "nutritious" (lol) and you will get addicted to eating it everyday. 60% discount within thirty minutes before or after shift or during a break (if you are lucky enough to get one)
You will get much experience in customer service as the customer base there is mostly the over-privileged and they are sometimes very hard to please.
There is also a very loyal group of customers that you will see all the time and you will learn what they like and they will know you by name. a very good feeling.
I enjoyed the attention to detail that goes into making everything perfect for the customer but some people just want to get thru a shift. If you are the latter Panera isnt for you.
Bakery goods are made fresh every morning so if you are closing and there is still plenty of treats to give to donations you might get to take half a loaf of bread or some sweets home. yum!

    Cons

-long shifts sometimes with no break or opportunity to eat/drink. practically extortion.
-always seem under staffed. unreasonable order completion time demands
-lots of multitasking and double duty deployment (i.e. doing the work that they should have another person doing while still completing your own responsibilities.)
-you work as hard if not harder than most food service workers and yet cannot earn tips.
-customers cannot understand why they are spending so much money on a sandwich and will complain about the prices everyday. "no, we do not have a dollar menu"
-"no, we do not have gluten free bread" (gtfo) ad infinatum

    Advice to Management

leadership comes from the front, not from behind a desk.

    Pros

Good discount on food, great coworkers, everyone's a family, and great skills learned.

    Cons

You have to pay for food, no breaks, inconsistent of workers to leave things a mess, day people don't care of the mess they make, and to slow of changing your position.

    Advice to Management

Treat workers as if they aren't slaves. Give more opportunities to workers.

    Pros

The pay is better than any other fast food type place I have worked at. The staff is fun to work with and the management is understanding when I have to leave work early if one of my kids gets sick and needs to be picked up from school.

    Cons

They don't give 35 hours per week and rarely even 35, which means you won't be able to take advantage of the benefits like paid time off.

    Advice to Management

Give 40 hours to those who desire it and pay for breaks.
