    Pros

Great work environment. Tons of room for moving up and increasing pay

    Cons

They hire a lot of younger kids who don't care to do their job, so you're picking up the slack

I worked at Panera Bread full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

A lot of companies promise to treat you like family, Panera does a really great job of that. There are Bread Bash meetings monthly where everyone learns about new promotions and eats together, we sing, we promote our family members good points. Lot's of possible growth at the company, and Free Bread

    Cons

Panera wants you to engage with the guests, and become friends with them....but keep it under 5 minutes

I worked at Panera Bread as an intern

    Pros

Hands on experience, a lot of room for creativity and own ideas, help from senior management, good training and guidance for the program

    Cons

The only con is that I wish I could have worked there longer and will be trying to get a full-time position with them in the future

I have been working at Panera Bread full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The people are awesome, the pay is fair, it is genuinely a fun place to work most of the time. I have benefits but I'm not sure how they stack up against other companies because I don't really have anything to compare them to

    Cons

Fast paced and stressful. This is great some if the time but when it is 90% of the time it can wear you down. The hours can be really hard with a family. 4a- 10p/ only closed X mas

I have been working at Panera Bread full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Management is focused on development, regular and through training is given to those who ask for it. PTO is offered and we stick to our concept. Pay is about $1.00 more per hour than other local food places.

    Cons

Panera isn't a good fit for everyone. You'll have to work hard. Benefits don't really kick in until you've been with the company for a calendar year.

I have been working at Panera Bread part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I have had a very plesent experience working with Panera so far. They are really helpful and understanding, and we do have a lot of fun!

    Cons

It's a stressful environment during the peak hours, costumers can be nasty, but if you can handle it all with a smile.. you'll be good! Be quick about things, but don't ever do shortcuts!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Tips should be installed at every store.. for the service that most of us provide for the customers.. we should all share a tip jar! You would definitely get more and harder working employees!
