I have been working at Papa John's full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Pretty good work environment. The employees are nice and everybody is a team player.

    Cons

Upper management constantly texts gm's and assistants on personal phones excessively. Time of night and days off are not taken into consideration when the messages are sent. This is very irritating. The bonus programs get harder to hit goals. There is no real training program. Not much room for advancement. Very stressful for the pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a training program in effect and do follow-ups. Address situations and get all the facts before making rash decisions.

I worked at Papa John's full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Flexibility, not standing all night, good tips, half off pizza, management, drive around all night, most customers nice, room for advancement

    Cons

Low wages, tipped wages, part time benefits, don't get to go home until rush is over, super bowl, Christmas tips are bad

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay minimum wage instead of tipped minimum wage

You are able to spend the majority of your shift in your car

I have been working at Papa John's part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Best coworkers anyone could ask for, most of the employees were full time students and general manager worked with everyone's schedule.

    Cons

Worked there 5 years and rarely got a raise, after 5 years I was still making only 10 dollars an hour

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give raises more often to employees that show loyalty and are skilled.

I worked at Papa John's part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

10-20+ an hour depending on the night as a delivery driver
free food almost every night. Get to meet many friendly customers

    Cons

In-store chores like cleaning suck. Middle management often sucks. You will never enjoy pizza again after a few years. Work is somewhat physical and tiring.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay in-store team members more. Not fair that they do more work while drivers make 2 or 3 times more money.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
