I worked at Papa John's part-time for less than a year

    Pros

I had a lot of fun working here. I worked on a campus location and although the work was long it was sill a lot of fun. I have nothing bad to say about my time here. Were very lenient when it came to time off because some employees were students.

    Cons

During slow days, asked to go home

During busy days (big games) asked to stay longer

I worked at Papa John's part-time for more than a year

    Pros

i liked the friendly environment that the whole staff created. the managers were a lot of fun, the rest of the team was amazing to! i love that they chose me to train the new employees because i knew what image Papa Johns should be showing their customers. working at Papa Johns helped me get over my depression and see a better side of people

    Cons

I didn't get benefits while working at papa johns. and toward the end of my employment they would work the whole team 2 hours and then send us home so they wouldn't have to give us a break, and for me, i was spending more gas than i was making money to buy it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I loved working at papa johns, but the people from head quarters should check in and see how all of their stores are treating their workers

I have been working at Papa John's part-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good work life balance. A lot of the stores are like a kind of family unit. The pay in my opinion is not like any other restaurant that comparable business type. If you put in the effort, you can learn a lot, especially if you have a good management core. If you work hard you will be successful. You can make a career out of it, and do VERY well.

    Cons

If you are in a higher volume store, you will work hard. you will work with people sometimes that don't want to do their share and you have to take up the slack. Sometimes the goals for management are not necessarily realistic, but you understand what they want.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try not to make personnel decisions on desperation. Praise your team when they do something right. Show them the correct way when they do something wrong. Team development does not stop after they have finished the monthly training. Don't have a team member do something you are not willing to do yourself. Lead by example.

    Pros

Flexible hours, pay is commensurate with work effort as a driver.

    Cons

Pay is mostly tips, which can fluctuate a lot. If you're overstaffed, everyone makes less money. Also it seems some days, people are more generous than others.

    Pros

Cash paid daily, short shifts, know 2 days are the same.

    Cons

Low tips, or no tips, from customers. Stupid people that don't know how to drive. Not Papa ohn's drivers the rest of the world.
