Advice to Senior Management – Work on a uniform centralized resource of sales force to utilize in the field. And more importantly keep it updated.

Pros – The company has great products and run a profitable business. They value performance and loyalty to the company. This company is an engineering power house. It gives you many options in terms of building career tracks.

Cons – The environment is not very receptive to newcomers.

Pros – The company pays very well, they have the best benefits; especially wellness benefits. They pay for your education, but do not expect anything in return after you graduate, even if it’s part of your development.
Employees are nice to work with.

Cons – Management will play favorites and develop those who suck up! Some promotions should not have happened. If you plan on promoting, be sure they know how to act and speak to their employees; very poor management training.

Advice to Senior Management – Need serious development skills on how to speak, and act toward others.
You cannot wait for a performance review to tell someone they are doing something wrong....how are they going to know to correct the action!

Pros – I like working for Parker. The people are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Many have been with the company for decades. This is a good sign for anyone joining the company who is interested in a stable work environment. The company has been around for a really long time and has managed to stay steady and financially profitable. The benefits are very good, and the employees are treated well.

Cons – There is some disconnect between sites within the same division who are using different systems. It makes it difficult to compile and share information across sites.

Advice to Senior Management – Put in place common systems at all your sites, so we can more easily communicate and share information with our colleagues across sites.

Cons – Okay pay in a very expensive area. Not so smart management. Cheap on material (computer, furniture, building/facilities)

Pros – Department managers do a great job of maintaining a positive work environment.
Coworkers and supervisor were very respectful and supportive.
Broad range of customers made for some very interesting work projects.
My supervisor knew my abilities and allowed the autonomy to do my job well.

Cons – Least favorite but deemed necessary activity was Thursday morning business meeting.
Traffic jams coming or going were always a possibilty (but this is true for most places).

Pros – Company does a decent job of setting goals for locations/divisions etc. But when it comes to personal goals, good luck. They are whatever your boss's is. Will pay for training, will pay for education.

Cons – You're only as good as your manager thinks (which can be biased, if not unfair) There's no recognition of the individual's contribution. If you have a good idea, it becomes your boss's or boss's boss, if you have a bad idea, youre considered inexperianced and shunned.
