    Pros

Most colleagues were a pleasure to work with, exciting and meaningful global projects also a plus.

    Cons

Benefits expensive and could be much better. Some managers are great, some are non-existent; this will determine your experience at PB

    Advice to Management

Senior management should invest resources into proper training of the rank and file management.

  3. Helpful (1)

Great experience, but only because of my specific teammates and supervisor.

    Pros

There are some truly wonderful people working here. They make for great experiences and awesome mentoring. They make it easy to get up and come to work.

    Cons

Unfortunately, those higher up the hierarchy are not the most pleasant people. They also tend to forget that those of us on the bottom rungs do everyday what they don't know how to do. Also, unless you are making a lot of money, this can be a VERY expensive company for which to work.

    Advice to Management

Please stop forgetting about those of us who work little clerk, analyst, and biller jobs. We may be little cogs, but your machine would be broken without us. It would be nice to not be treated as though we don't matter to the executive team.

    Pros

    Great Benefits
Large knowledge base to draw from
    Lots of training available
    Very diverse work

    Cons

Direct managers control access to training
Difficult to advance if your advancement might hurt the future advancement of your direct manager
Focused on empire building vs. people development

    Advice to Management

Put better controls in place to limit a managers ability to keep qualified employees down.

    Pros

Great work life balance, vacation days are accrued and carry over year to year, plenty of passionate engineers to work with.

    Cons

Takes way too long to get anything done or changed as it is very common for employees to be with the company for 20+ years. Salaries below industry average.

    Advice to Management

Need to be a more nimble organization to reduce margin erosion

    Pros

Good Compensation, Fairly decent benefits package

    Cons

Company really needs to work on keeping talent once they have hired. My project manager was very good

    Advice to Management

Work on retaining talent, and treat your talent more than just a number Remember these people have lives, families and responsibilities and without such talent PB wouldn't have the reputation and respect they have

    Pros

Company name well known in the industry - that gives you easier path to get hired by others....There are some young, bright, talented people working for the company.....

    Cons

    Total lack of corporate vision and direction - when old guys left, "new" management never got grip on business; company keeps high cost senior staff forever - resulting high overhead makes company less competitive; who you know matters more than what you know and how hard you work; constant reorganization - often one doesn't know who he/she is working for; no relation between business units- they would rather hire from outside than transfer existing staff that doesn't have an assignment;

    Advice to Management

They know everything anyway, so they don't need me to tell them anything.
