    Pros

Excellent company and will be a part of history. Major projects that will withstand the test of time. Upper management most considerate of all employees. Great salaries and backing of next level management. Team work was the greatest with fellow employees.

    Cons

Middle management has and uses the "Good Ole Boy Syndrome". Professional skills ignored if employee migrated from another industry, especially if different from middle management.

    Advice to Management

Beware of Middle Management as this level of management will untimely destroy the company from within.

Very good people, with good values and globally placed. Good opportunities worldwide.

    Cons

Progression within large projects limited. Employee progression not seriously looked at in an organized way. HR in Middle East very poor.

    Advice to Management

    Improve employee progression trajectories.

    Pros

Nice work environment; reasonable management, good set of benefits, flex-work schedule or 9-80 work week for certain departments, competitive compensation, T Rowe Price managed 401K, current generation IT (computers, SW, and telecom), open-office environment (all cubicles, if that is something you like)

    Cons

The level of professionalism and progressiveness in management is hit and miss. The "old-guard" that came from NY HQ or other PB locations tend struggle a bit with change and modern management techniques/philosophies. They are burdened by history. The "new" management team that was hired-in with the new facility opening tends to be more progressive, quicker to spot problematic past practices, and committed to positive change/improvement.

    Advice to Management

Embrace change and modern management techniques that encourage personal growth for the employees.
    Encourage cross-training to broaden skill-sets.
Focus on positive organizational and process changes for employees that also foster a more efficient and effective workplace.
PB's competitors are constantly evolving. Don't face the same fate as the dinosaurs.

    Pros

-Complex and Iconic projects for cities
    -Good Salary
-Able to fill in gaps between large projects with training or smaller projects
    -Flexible time
-Bright people to reach out to for questions

    Cons

-Progression up the corporate latter can be tough
-Balfour Beatty bought the company out and took away all budgets for continuing education
-Kind of a third-world structure with no middle class, just big-ups and work horses
-When expanding only hired higher positions pushing lower roles to younger but growing employees

    Advice to Management

Roll up the sleeves, lower your shoulder, and be willing to battle when asking for budgets/approvals for continuing education, conferences, etc. for the younger employees.

    Pros

Friendly staff, managers are open to helping you advance your career and answer questions.

    Cons

I worked there for 4 years and only received 1 in-person performance review. The rest of the time the review was a filled out form online that did not help or inform me of anything whatsoever. Not enough PTO.

    Advice to Management

Make more of an effort to review your employees and give feedback.
