I worked at Partnership for Public Service as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Great fellowship! You are held accountable and made a member of a team. Supervisors make sure to check in with their fellows every week, making sure their experience is going smoothly. There is also a high turnover rate, which means there can be a presented opportunity for fellows to work at The Partnership full-time. I've seen it happen!

    Cons

Not too much to say here, really enjoyed my time with the organization. I would just say there is not much diversity.

Salary is low compared to other DC nonprofits.

    Pros

The people, innovative and fun company culture, flexibility and input into strategic direction of the company

    Cons

Low pay for junior staff, company stresses work/life balance, but everyone has too much on their plate and works long hours without additional compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire enough people to be able to provide true work/life balance to employees.
