I have been working at People's United Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good work environment with the possibility to be a leading force in banking in the northeast. Pay is lagging behind other industry leaders.

    Cons

Upper management does not know how to manage those under them. Too much micromanagement and training for back office jobs is lacking. Nepotism.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Co-workers are generally pretty nice and managers were friendly and always seemed to try and work with you as much as possible in the very little room they were allowed by the overall company. Fun incentives for delivering a good customer experience.

    Cons

Call Centers are always terrible It's a huge company so you obviously get treated like just a number There isn't a whole lot of flexibility in terms of what you're able to do for the customers.

    Advice to Management

It would be beneficial to your employees to try and make them feel like they're more than just a number in a giant company so they don't feel like they're not being taken care of or recognized.
