Slightly above average place to work in the area.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThe fiscal compensation is near average for the area, but not exceptional. The facilities and work atmosphere are clean and up to date. Product allotment is fair.

ConsWork life balance is difficult to maintain. There is a very large, unstated, push to work many hours of overtime for salaried employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementA little bit of positive encouragement goes a long way, and is worth the time.

Great if you are French, just Ok for the non French.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThe Salary is above average. People are great to work with. Systems are ok

ConsOvertime can be tedious at times. No real chance to move up unless you are are of French decent.
Management doesn't respond to staff needs. Training rarely offered. Need better training on systems, at least provide a manual

Advice to Senior ManagementStaff up, so you don't burn out people. Set up Training programs that will be useful for all employees.
Get everyone Brand training, not just the favorites!!!!

Life at The Absolut Company (like in Sweden) is underwhelming

    Global Brand Manager (Current Employee)
    Stockholm, Stockholm (Sweden)

    Pros- it's a spirits business
    - TAC TRUELY values creativity and creative thinking (this is not lip service)
    - Work with great global brand builders
    - exposure to unique opportunities and projects that do not exist even in many fortune 500 companies

Cons- being business oriented does not guarantee your opinion will matter
    - your career is not likely to be a priority for your boss or senior management
    - this is my 4th corporate headquarters, and by far the WORST HR team i have ever come across
    - Senior management is out of touch with the emotions, sentiments and barriers of the rest of the organization

Advice to Senior Management- Overhaul the HR department and HR systems
    - take a walk around the building more often (be visible); feel responsible for not being aware of how your employees feel (as a group)
    - make "people management" a priority for people managers. Stop allowing great marketers to be poor managers.
