I went from a high school drop out to a college graduate at Perot, the company truly changed my life.

Facilities Security Officer (Former Employee) Fairfax, VA

ProsPerot was more than an office job, it was a culture. People who worked for Perot were on the forefront of the industry, they were bright and driven. But most of all they were very kind. I can't tell you the number of associates that helped me develop not only in my field, but as a person. There was no opportunity that wasn't offered. It was the first place I'd ever worked outside of the military that judged me for my future potential rather than past mistakes.

ConsI honestly can't think of a con when it comes to Perot. I'd be making one up if I listed anything here.

Advice to Senior ManagementInclude people. Never treat anyone like a number. When you show someone that their input matters, they're more likely to treat your company as more than just a job. Show them a way up, this will keep them from looking for a way out.

It was the best company I ever worked for.

Procurement Specialist (Former Employee) Plano, TX

ProsWe were like a family, the company operated based on their great culture & values. I was very lucky I had wonderful managers and mentors and because of that I always gave 120% to my job. I received credit and recognition for all of my hard work.

ConsWhen the company went public we lost some of the family atmosphere. Towards the end before the company was sold everything was about the stockholders, not the employees that built the company.

Advice to Senior ManagementI wish you had not sold the company.

    Good company prior to Dell

Contract Pricing Specialist (Former Employee) Plano, TX

ProsStrong team, smart folks, can-do attitude, respected as a team member if you have the chops.

ConsExpect to be worked to death. Pulled many an over-nighter. There's a saying that "There's 7 days in a week and 24 hours in a day, then there's night's and weekends." It's an old EDS saying that applies here as well.

Advice to Senior ManagementNot any different than any other company. You're just an accounting entry that somebody is always trying to figure out how to reduce or eliminate. That's just business.

In 2007, QSS Group Inc, merged with Perot Systems Government Services. I experience was great.

Project Manager (Former Employee) Lanham, MD

ProsGood salary, benefits, good employees, and excellent growth potential. I was informed that (depending on the contract you were on) Perot provided their employees with free parking.

ConsOverall, I do not have any complaints concerning QSS Group or Perot Systems. However, during the merging process, one manager that I know of should not have been employed with the company. He really did not fit into QSS Group or Perot System's standard of competence.

    Advice to Senior ManagementNo advice.

    Overall great place to work

Executive Assistant (Former Employee) Plano, TX

ProsThere are great growth opportunities, great pay, and good people to work with. I started as a EA and ended as a project coordinator.

ConsWith the great pay came long hours, and the work would sometimes be stressful. There was a lot of travel involved as well.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe leadership were very knowledgeable people who unlike other companies shared their visions to others and subordinates. They would help others achieve their goal in their career.

A fantastic company to work for!

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Plano, TX

ProsA compancy that understands that its people are centric to its success!! Wow, in this day and age, that is awesome.

ConsLike most companies (I think), once you're in the dorr, the compensation/rewards become static and changes very little. However, the culture, environment and people compensate.
