I have been working at Perry Ellis International part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Perry Ellis has offered me flexible work hours and much experience in the retail field. Everyone is nice and accommodating when training and everyone pitches in to help you learn the job.
Another up side is your ideas are considered. Corporate like to hear new ideas and ways to improve the company.

    Cons

I've currently had no bad experiences while working at Perry Ellis. However it seems that your experience will vary depending on which location you work at. One of our sister stores has what seems like a bit more of a hard team to work with.

I worked at Perry Ellis International as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

This is a great place to learn from all aspect of design and production. You will be well compensated for your position. Freelancer's are now on payroll, which means you will be paid on time and do not have to pay back taxes.

    Cons

This is a very cliquey and Politics based company , Insurance is not that great, how they use to pay there freelancer's which was very inconsistent.

I worked at Perry Ellis International as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

This is a review for the NYC Office. Everyone was moderately nice at Perry Ellis. The work environment is relatively calm, even before the holidays. The Main office building has an amazing view of the city, being on 42nd street. There was often free food leftover from meetings.

    Cons

Slightly boring because of the calm work environment. If you don't love fashion, then you won't be excited to work there. The brand is pretty established so there isn't much random for trying new things.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more involved with your employees, I rarely saw my manager.
