    Pros

Good benefits. Nice Mission. Some nice people.

    Cons

Engineers that think they know how to run other parts of the business. Focus on the products and what the customer needs/wants instead.

    Pros

Huge organization with a lot of great people. Global leadership is heading in a good direction implementing a more process oriented future and investing in technology. The behaviors that drive trust and collaboration, entrepreneurship and decision-making at lower levels is front and center of town halls and other communication from upper leadership.

    Cons

Confusion and double, triple work, constantly changing priorities or competing priorities and annual layoffs have created a fear culture. The global leadership changes are not reaching the lower levels yet. Very short-sighted goals, looking quarter to quarter versus a longer broader vision.

I worked at Philips Healthcare full-time

    Pros

Benefits are exceptional! Intelligent team members who are work very hard.

    Cons

Not truly centered designed, innovation is driven by management ideas not user input, performance reviews are a joke. In order to receive a high performance evaluation you need to rub elbows with the right managers.

I worked at Philips Healthcare full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

If you are working alone it's great. Customers are usually pretty good and the work is a challenge while you make a difference in people's lives

    Cons

Direct management is unsupervised and can wander in odd directions trying to build his own empire. Upper management isn't so sure if they want to take plan A or plan B.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out what you really want to do.

I worked at Philips Healthcare as an intern (more than 5 years)

    Pros

People are nice and very supportive. You will have opportunities to meet different people not in the development teams and collaborate with them

    Cons

It is not a purely software company and, for intern, pay is low compared to others

I have been working at Philips Healthcare full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

My team, co-workers, are awesome. We have each other's backs and it feels like family. I trust my manager and dotted line manager. Great team work.

    Cons

Poor quality coming out of the factory causes rework and never ending issues with customers and cumbersome processes to follow. Admit when there is a problem and quit avoiding the truth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a handle on quality and reduce the processes to follow.

    I worked at Philips Healthcare

    Pros

    Passion of employees
A brand that could be great
    Broad portfolio of solutions

    Cons

Senior leadership chasing the short term at the expense of long term. Destroying culture, cost cutting is not a growth strategy and can have devastating impact on quality, morale and long term viability.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be courageous and strategic to be the best for customers and patients and profits will follow. Be ruled by chasing artificial wall street expectations and continue to languish until they move on to another investment.
