Former Employee – worked at Pinnacle Bancorp part-time for more than a year
Pros – Great exposure to the banking industry.
Cons – Not much room for growth. Not much movement happens within the company internally.
Advice to Senior Management – Find ways to promote from within, and generate positions that allow growth into different areas of the company.

Current Employee – been working at Pinnacle Bancorp
Pros – A full-service bank that has a small-town feel. It focuses on developing customer relationships which gives its employees a good feeling inside. Management is competent and willing to listen and provide feedback. Wage and benefits are competitive. Can get time off if needed, just be sure when you don't need it you'll be there to help out your coworkers. There are a number of different areas of the bank you can work in from investments, retail, loans, operations, etc.
Cons – There are limited advancement opportunities unless you're willing to wait for a few years. There isn't a whole lot of bank sponsored activities for employees to do outside of work.
Advice to Senior Management – A lot of college talent leaves every year because they don't feel their is enough room for advancement. Plan more outside of work activities for employees to help build the work-life balance and assure they are satisfied.

Current Employee – been working at Pinnacle Bancorp
Pros – It's a solid family owned company with job security. It is a very highly rated bank with little chance of layoffs. There is a lot of job security. The environment is friendly and customer service focused. While there are sales goals, there is not a lot of pressure to meet unattainable goals. They are more concerned with providing good customer service and making decisions that are win win situations.
Cons – Lack of upward mobility, very low pay increases that don't reflect the level of contribution. There are a lot of procedures/policies that are too conservative, which causes good customers to become frustrated. There is too much micromanagement of the branches by certain members of management.
Advice to Senior Management – More constructive feed back for the employees.
