    Pros

A great place to learn the basics

    Cons

No room for superstars to grow. As a company the upper managers care more about themselves and numbers.. If you for example grow your restaurant 15% from last year sales but make an 85 on your inspection it is a problem. While felling is a 75 I believe, they come up with dumb things like every one needs to be 90 or better just silly. .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn what you need to learn and move on if you are in an area like mines.

    Pros

Great opportunity to get management experience. Can not see myself making this a permanent career.

    Cons

The delivery drivers make more than you and you have to manage them. You work really hard for the money and have a lot of responsibilities. Banking procedures and money handling needs to be changed for safety reasons.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Training is good. More perks are needed for shift managers.

Current Employee - Delivery Driver in Denver, CO

    Pros

Fast paced. Get to leave the store and deliver pizzas.

    Cons

Poor tips. Lazy workers. Some people put away dirty dishes. Your supposed to rinse off dishes before you put it in the tray and run it through the dishwasher machine. Once saw my manager just put dishes in tray full of sauce. Hard to put up with. Once told one of my coworkers that one of the dishes he had cleaned still had crap all over it. He just placed it back in the sink and moved onto the next dish. I ended up doing that dish. Lots of times I felt like I was doing everything around there. One of my managers I feel expected too much out of me. I'd be making wings and then I'd be yelled at to go answer the phone.

Little to no training. Pretty much learn as you go. Rude customers on phone.

Poor pay. Wear and tear on your car. Can get lost every now and then at apartments.

Expected to work whenever they need you, Holidays, whenever it snows, pretty much whenever

We were short staffed a lot. Their computer system is outdated, so whenever you needed to put in a computer code, signing in, say that someone was in range of delivery, you would need a manager override. Sometimes it would take manager a while to come and override.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees a little better than minimum wage and evaluate managers performance at restaurants. How many managers do you want that are so lazy they put away dirty dishes? Don't clock your delivery drivers on the road. Pay them minimum wage the whole time. Instead of paying by the delivery pay by the mileage.

Former Employee - Cook and Driver in Lincoln, NE

    Pros

Fairly flexible hours, good if you are in high school or first two years of college.

    Cons

Because you are most likely to have this job if you are in school there is not a lot of work-life balance as you will probably work 5-midnight most nights that you do work. Pay is pretty awful and if you do get to a shift management position you are still making under $10/hr and are responsible for a quite a bit more.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Seems like no room for promotion ever in the company, pay is pretty awful (but understandable for making $6 pizzas).

Former Employee - Delivery Driver in Bartlesville, OK

    Pros

Great coworkers, amazing assistant managers, discount, relaxed for the most part, excellent tips.

    Cons

Strict, cranky boss (that's not a Pizza Hut problem, that just happens). I applied for part-time, but since there was a lack of drivers, I was working 40 + hours a week. That's not what I signed up for, considering I had been ill and didn't need to work that much. I felt my body wearing down. Could sometimes be disorganized. Worked past my scheduled hours.
