    Software Developer

Software Developer (Former Employee) New York, NY

    Pros- Fun place to work
    - Fun committee
    - Management is constantly working on process improvement.
    - Good learning opportunity and pay.

Cons- There is no work life balance, since extra/weekend work is often.
    - There is always dirty politics going on, which makes two part of the company, business and technology. People waste time and energy in fighting within company to justify themselves, so there is no "one company" spirit.

Advice to Senior ManagementThanks for constant effort to improve process. Make the company one team, current incentives making people fight/compete within a company (it makes work stressful)

Growing Company with A Lot of Opportunity to Learn and Grow

Project Manager (Current Employee) New York, NY

Pros1. Lots of opportunity to learn and grow as a project manager, salesman, technology lead, functional lead, product lead, etc...
    2. Exposure to top-level executives and full transparency from sales through implementation.
    3. Complete accountability and ownership of your role, career, and project success.

Cons1. Polaris is undergoing a lot of growing pains with business process and responsibility changes.
    2. Most likely will work late hours when its crunch time on projects, but the team is usually appropriately awarded for commitment.

Advice to Senior ManagementNot applicable right now. Currently management does a very good job of listening to senior employee concerns and adjusting business processes to accomodate.

    Gain consulting experience quickly

Analyst (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsSmall firm which allows exposure to clients and have a lot of responsibilities at an early stage. Large room for upward mobility if asked for.

ConsNot a lot of training involved at the company. People are expected to learn on their own and aren't given a lot of guidance unless asked for explicitly.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeeds to perform a better job during the hiring process to set expectations of the work/ life balance. Others become very frustrated while when the workload seems to be consistently more than expected.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
