I worked at Polo Ralph Lauren

    Pros

The people, the discount, the fun work activities, the travel, the on site cafeteria, employee sales and location.great atmosphere!

    Cons

Hard to move up. You work hard, but with no promotions. It's a let down to see years spent doing the same thing with no reward...(that's with having exceeds expectations) on every yearly review. Other than that, there is not much to complain about.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Coaching your best employees to help them move up and advance. Don't hold people back, because they are good employees.

  5.

Summer sales associate position was very demanding but a very professional environment.

I have been working at Polo Ralph Lauren (less than a year)

    Pros

As a sales associate you get 15 minute breaks that are paid for. Also, the store and other amenities are very clean and well maintained. Very reputable company so you know you are compensated fairly.

    Cons

On-call work hours are difficult to plan schedule around because you may have to pick up shifts. The store location I worked at was very busy, especially on weekends so we never got those off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to reward, value and promote success of those that are working. When people do something well, let others know that because it makes employees feel valued.

I have been working at Polo Ralph Lauren full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Hours, benefits, discounts, vacation time, the creativity, people, the diversity, travel. You work to live at this company, not live to work.

    Cons

Salary range and raises are not as competitive as other companies. There is a lot of people involved in decision making. It is hard to climb a corporate ladder since all of the higher up execs have been with RL for a long time.

I worked at Polo Ralph Lauren full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

beautiful clothing and fantastic discount (65% off)

    Cons

only veteran employees make a salary worth noting, keeping up with your wardrobe (even with the discount) leaves little left over to pay bills, must stay weight appropriate and pedicured as you are working on a "stage" that shows the world what Ralph Laurens version of life should be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

provide a basic wardrobe like Tory Burch does.

I worked at Polo Ralph Lauren

    Pros

Great company and people; strong business arm

    Cons

Compensation does not increase as quickly as comparable companies

  11.

I have been working at Polo Ralph Lauren

    Pros

Pay is above average. The people love the brand that they work for. The customer relationships.

    Cons

    Business processes, efficiency is lacking.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The required age is too low, we shouldn't have 16yo selling something that a mature demographic is buying.
