I worked at Porsche Cars North America as an intern

    Pros

Great People, Culture, Benefits, Facility, Product, and the city of Atlanta isn't bad.

    Cons

Traffic. But more than anything else they don't value their entry-level employees and typically try to keep them as interns for as long as physically possible before offering them a full-time and reasonably paid position. If you are able to earn your keep it's great, but the insane duration of some internships:1 year or in some cases more, without any guarantee of subsequent employment is a pretty bleak prospect.

    Advice to Management

I get it you like a trimmed company with minimal excess employees, and the supply of eager college kids is there so why bother hiring someone full-time right? Well loyalty would be nice.

    Pros

Learned about different software programs which became useful in other positions. Social atmosphere and events. Very intelligent and motivated employees.

    Cons

No room for advancement. The position you are hired for is your glass ceiling. HR department was highly unprofessional during the time I was there.

    Advice to Management

Lower tiered employees although easily replaced are still an important part of the system that keep things working and should be treat as valuable as management.

    Pros

Nice work environment, people are friendly, you can learn a lot in a short amount of time, the culture is diverse. Porsche Cars of North America is fun and the people enjoy being at work. The company have mixers so the workers can enjoy, relax, and meet other people. The company is always doing something in the community such as: planting trees, reading to students, donating to shelters, and more

    Cons

I do not have any cons at the moment.

    Pros

Great people to work with. Small company so you can wear many hats. Good work life balance. Plus you get to work with a fun product! Nice discount for leasing cars.

    Cons

Salary is not competitive and upward movement is pretty tough due to the size of the company. Can be political at times.

    Advice to Management

Give more opportunities to people by promoting cross functional moves. Increase pay and bonuses to retain the best employees.

    Pros

Small so lots of opportunities to do various tasks, many hats to wear. A great employee lease program for cars.

    Cons

Long hours, not a lot of vertical movement, but once you do the main internal jobs, you are valuable elsewhere.
