    Pros

Money is what this company is all about! That is good if you don't get popped and get it taken but if u meet and exceed your goals you have potential for good bonus. Great benefits package and hourly plus bonus.

    Cons

All your bosses from manager on up is wolves in sheep's clothing! One day they are there for u the next they're suspending u with really no reason. People can't really talk about anything for fear of being fired!

    Advice to Management

Train your AVP'S not too take pride in being butt holes! You are firing hardworking people with families that have tenure with the company for no reason! Try not to have so many wolves in one company pretending to be there for their team but really can care less if they are there tomorrow!

    Pros

The hours, the quietness of office, end-of-month lunches

    Cons

    Management style, training, expectations/goals inconsistent

    Advice to Management

Management should be upfront and clear about what expectations they have for employees for productivity and not wait until a month or so pass by to then give a very vague idea of what they expect from an employee. It's also not funny when management makes fun of teammates in team meetings when someone makes a mistake. When giving constructive criticism, it shall just remain just between the management and the employee. It kills morale, and it gives employees the impression that one slight mistake and they will be the next meeting's humiliation. People who work there are in constant fear of being given the pink slip and no amount of giveaways or paid lunches will change that.

    Pros

Casual Environment- not even business casual for the most part you can wear anything from sweat pants to leggings.

    Cons

Production caps, Office culture, benefits. The lack of modern day office culture is a huge problem here. In this environment you can barely talk.

    Pros

Bonuses... And had a close team with cool ppl

    Cons

Your assigned a que or an account ( hopefully its not crappy) &have to build base thru solid paymnt plans in order to get to goal. Your goal increased each month. Upper management were like hawks.

    Advice to Management

Every one working at portfolio is over 18 so start treating employees with a little more respect.

    Pros

One of the larger employers in the area; cash cow

    Cons

Not employee friendly, poor salaries and no opportunities to advance

    Advice to Management

They should concern themselves with greater infrastructure.

    Pros

Co workers are helpful. My previous manager was awesome, then I was moved to a team that sucked.

    Cons

I will never work in collections again. If you can stand being mean to customers all day long, then this job is for you. Yes you can get big bonus checks but it is at the expense of ruining someone else. Everyone gets into hard time but this company does not care. All they want is for the customer to pay their bills. They train us not to care about the customer but to make them pay their bills. This company is right on the border of breaking FDCPA. We were trained to push the envelope.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating your employees like children. They are adults like you are and they don't deserve to be yelled at across the floor.

    Cons

management .. i had a bad experience working for PRA .. i was a good collector but a manager decided he didn't like me. so i was fired for being to loud on a collection floor of 200 collectors. would i recommend this company to anyone looking for a job.. NO.. not at all

    Advice to Management

don't fire someone thats making you money just because you don't like them personally.. are they really that bad.. or is it personal

    Cons

Micromanagement, You get treated like your in grammar school, low wages, classless individuals, drama, you are only as good as your last payment collected, many managers shouldn't be managers. They are always hiring because they have a hire turn over rate.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating employees like grammar school kids. We understand that are purpose for being there is to collect money!
