Current Employee - Manager  in  Norfolk, VA
Current Employee - Manager in Norfolk, VA

    Pros

Competent upper management is perhaps the strongest asset of PRA. The very senior management is quite competent.

    Cons

Promotions come to favorites or pets and often many job openings are not listed

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more agressive in announcing job openings.

    Pros

Strong company, great promise for growth, I enjoy my peers and if you play your hand right, unlimited opportunity for growth. Competitive pay at the account rep level. Great incentives/bonus pay program

    Cons

Collections is definitely not for everyone. Politics are alive and well here. Environment is dog-eat-dog. Very competitive...almost aggressive. But again, collections is not for everyone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on internal equity, pay ops managers more $$

    Pros

I like the other collector's. i know how to read from a scrpit.and not to have my cell phone with me

    Cons

they do not treat their collector's well..they only think about their investor's they forgot that the collector's are the ones on the phone speaking with thier debtor's... they expect you to dress up when they have investor's in the building

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of your collector's, more trainiing for manager's stop hiring just anybody off the street. pay your collector's what they are worth..then you woulkd not have to worry so much about investors
