    Pros

Close knit family between managers and employees, in-depth 4 day training process, full team meetings to help with seasonal orientation, great relationship between the 3 PB brands of PB/Teen/Kids,

    Cons

Not a huge amount of upward mobility in growth, sales goals don't necessarily seem attainable to new employees, such a large amount of merchandise is online only and many customers want to be able to see things in stores so it is possible to lose customers this way,

The company's core values are sound, but they dont always get translated to the lowest rung of employees.

    Pros

Loving the store as a customer makes for a similar experience as an employee. The season nature of the product means you constantly working with new, fresh, exciting and desirable items. Its easy to sell to customers because they love the latest, newest looksfor their homes.

    Cons

Scheduling is sometimes crazy, but that could vary depending on the manager writing the schedule. There is more pressure now to meet specific sales goals than in previous years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The metrics are way off when a $14/hr associate is expected to sell $600/hr.

    Pros

The employee discounts are great with this company. Loved my co-workers and the atmosphere at the store. Manager would always get our schedule to use 2 weeks out so we could have a life outside of the store.

    Cons

It is very busy during the holidays and can get stressful for everyone working at the store. The shipments of ornaments that come in are sometimes broken making it hard for the associates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep it up!

    Pros

Great people. At the location I worked everyone I worked with was pretty much awesome. The GM is a great guy who really went out of his way to help work with my schedule. I would absolutely work there again.

    Cons

For stock having to wake up at like 5 am to get to work on time for trucks sucked but that's kinda how all retail stock positions work when there are deliveries.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep being awesome =-D

    Pros

Great product, great discount and great team atmosphere

    Cons

The DM's are not invested in the staff at all, and not interested at all in promoting from within. Training in general is scarce.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Honestly folks, the best way to keep team morale is to promote from within. There is no work/life balance at all for management.
