I worked at Primerica part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

You can make your own hours based on client schedules. This usually means go to their house during dinner time or on the weekends. The knowledge you gain is very beneficial for your own life. It changed my personal financial situation forever. Great incentives if you recruit AND sell.
If you follow the path they give you it should work well for you.

    Cons

The company name is associated with "pyramid". It's not a pyramid scheme but people think it is and will shy away from business with you if you don't approach them the right way. I found the recruiting emphasis was a bit much. I met plenty of recruiting machines that had almost no idea how investing worked. They would get the new recruit life licensed, burn through their warm market, and move on to the next recruit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give better incentives to top producers. Don't make everything about recruiting. There seems to be no room for a good salesman who doesn't want to recruit.

I worked at Primerica part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

You learn a lot about budgeting, getting yourself out of debt, life insurance, and investing. Overall, I am very happy that I found this company because it helped me and my family realize that we need to plan for the future and it taught us how to meet our financial goals. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs help with their financial situation and/or goals.

    Cons

It is very hard to make a living since the pay is only commission based. I did not make a lot of money at all. To me, with the amount of work put in the pay (or lack there of) is just not worth it. I would not recommend this job/company to anyone who is trying to earn a living.

    Pros

If you want some extra money besides your regular job it is a good place to go. Required only trainings in the office. No sit in office work.

    Cons

No base salary.Need to understand their ideas and concepts fully and maybe change your personal value in order to really start making money. It is not a traditional working type.

I worked at Primerica part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

It's a good concept for those with constant income and discipline. Access the training but don't go into debt to do it.

    Cons

The strength of the training is determined by the leadership. If your leadership is on a sliding scale down from their top, you might have some issues.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to go beyond the hype the managers give you. The results are not the fault of the recruits.
