    Pros

Very solid group of people to work with, everyone wants to make things better in IT. Management tries very hard to be supportive and allow you to develop. It is a good group of people to work with and very few bad apples.

    Cons

IT works very hard to try to meet the needs of the business with 10 - 40 year old technology and skeleton crew to make it work. New ideas are not embraced by the business because they want to stay doing things they way they have always done it. Very little "NEW" is adopted by the business, and no one seems to care. Most in the company would probably be happy going back to pen and paper to do everything.

    Advice to Management

Don't waste time and money on developing technology and then just expect adoption to occur by osmosis. Support your IT, and don't allow fear mongering around new technology and new ideas.

    Pros

Executives work for the customers, vendors and employees alike. A lot of progress has been made to streamline processes in the last 4 years.

    Cons

Poor benefits, Lower level management is supportive in words only - there is no "real" support to speak of.

    Pros

Good work environment, Coworkers are very helpful, Sales staff believes in the efforts of the credit department.

    Cons

Too many upper management staff, very top heavy. Upper management is not Construction Lien Law Savvy, therefore a lot of wasted time and money going to attorneys.

    Advice to Management

Get a better understanding of the Construction Lien Laws for each region, help the managers and analyst with the explanation and implementation with the yards in your region. Get better instruction of the complete use of the computer system used in your regions, very helpful to others.

    Pros

Job is exciting and always changes. Everyone is friendly. My team is very welcoming. Everyone works hard.

    Cons

Position is currently temporary. There is not always consistency or best practices in place. Corporate and the field don't always see eye to eye on many topics

    Advice to Management

Find a way to get best practices in place and align corporate and the field by having the field share their best practices and what works for them now and in the past.

    Pros

CEO is very employee oriented, but understands business is business. Strong company values and this has been validated with company saying "goodbye" to key employees that have crossed the line. Leadership is strong amongst roughly 40% of senior leadership with others somewhat hanging on somehow. Pay and benefits are solid.

    Cons

At the HQ level, company does not seem to be able to get out of the way of itself. Too many large projects that affect the field and never come to fruition. Great ideas, but lack of execution especially on the IT side which has little to no flexibility and/or business knowledge.

    Advice to Management

Implement and execute before piling more on. Pretend it's your money that's being invested.

    Cons

Not much training, you have to kind of figure things out on your own. Long uncertain hours. You get off when the job is done there are no set times.

    Advice to Management

Have some work and safety training programs in place.
