Former Employee - Vice President Customer Relations in Colorado Springs, CO

    Pros

Pay was competitive and the company had innovation and driving a great customer experience in its focus.

    Cons

It was hard to see the downturn put an end to a lot of great projects that could have drastically reduced costs and improve quality. Ironic.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get serious about working together with trade partners to drive down costs and drive up quality. Get serious about simplification DiVosta style.

Former Employee - New Home Sales Consultant in Austin, TX

    Pros

Pay is fair. Benefits are good. The company was bought out as I was leaving, so I am not sure how things have changed from Centex to Pulte. Austin was the number one division in the company, but the rest of the market was bringing them down.

    Cons

Like all companies in new home sales, politics and neighborhood location dictate rather or not you are successful. If you can sell you can survive, as long as you are on the right side of politics.

Former Employee - Customer Relations Manager in Orlando, FL

    Pros

Great culture, fun meetings and plenty of after work activities to help build your team. The people I worked with were friendly and helpful.

    Cons

The last quarter of the year is brutal as they try to cram almost half their closings with homes that are no where near homeowner ready. When different sections of the community are not being built, it gets really boring and you just sit around.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't have so many elaborate activities for employees. When the economy turns people would rather have their jobs vs. being laid off.

Current Employee - Customer Relations Manager

    Pros

Good people, decent pay, and good severance when they have layoffs.

    Cons

Senior management is out of touch. They care too much about their own compensating that they pass over lower employees' cost of living and performance bonuses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't forget what it is like to be in the trenches.
