I have been working at PwC full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

It used to be that people and culture were the saving grace. But not sure that is true anymore.

    Cons

Lost culture, disillusioned work force and politics hampering individual growth I acting the collective growth of the company. Constant pressure on metrics when metrics are promoting bad behavior is not good. There is lack of innovative thinking and always being in a reactive mode to address market needs. More of the same appears to be the norm!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In your zeal to make the newer talent pool from acquired companies feel welcome don't take the legacy folks from way back when for granted. All the new things that glitter is not Gold!

    Pros

Big Company lots of users, lots of work to do.

    Cons

From February .2013 until August 2013 , we were steering users to to call an 877 tel. number.

On August 9,2013 , we were told we had until Feb. 28, 2014 to find new jobs as ours were being outsourced.

This was a very awkward environment and difficult people to work with.

    I worked at PwC

    Pros

Strictly 9 - 5 hours. Good benefits at first... Downhill from there.

    Cons

Very unprofessional environment; innocuous behavior by top level management and bumbling decision making contributed to a steady decline of customers and quality projects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to use the knowledge available from a diverse and wide range of employees — not just the top management.

I have been working at PwC full-time

    Pros

    Good benefits and internal training.

    Cons

Too much focus on selling and extreme competition does not always bring out the best in people. There are other organizations that have as good or better compensation, benefits and work life balance.

I have been working at PwC full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Free phone and decent vacations.

    Cons

    - Subjective performance reviews that only measure how much management likes you as a person, not the work you do.
    - Senior management's project reviews are worthless, just as their competence.
    - Senior management has no backbone and agrees and/or sucks up to what everyone else outside of their team tells them about their associates.
    - Certain employee favoritism and lots of negative gossip.
    - Fellow associates will pretend to be your friend, but in reality will make you look bad in front of management so that they can remove you from projects and opportunities.
    - Budgets get blown out of proportion for long useless emails, phone conversations, and for the sake of filling time.
    - Other associates will not know anything but will still get a better review than you because they suck up and bow down to power hungry little people.
    - Only a few projects were useful, the rest are repetitive, boring, and never add any value.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Being promoted to manager or senior manager doesn't really make you a manager or leader.

I worked at PwC full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The company offers great benefits but not much else.

    Cons

The company preaches work life flexibility but the reality is there is no respect for your personal time. You must be married to the organization. If you live to work than this is the organization you will excel in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Directors and above should work on building up their teams instead of putting them down and do not promise the moon to clients unless you are going to pitch in on the work. Top management is out of touch with how the real work gets done.
