    Pros

The value wheel is a beautiful thing

    Cons

If the cultures and values were actually instilled and carried out by management, this would be a great place to work, but unfortunately they only look good on paper.

  2. Helpful (3)

Hard core! All about production without care for the employee. Only 2 breaks in a 12 hour shift. Poor management.

    Pros

It's a job and pay is ok... That is about it. Nothing else good to say. But this thing wanted 20 words.

    Cons

Hard working conditions, hot, few breaks, poor management. Change good things so that it is done their way. They de-skill jobs...

    Advice to Management

When you buy a profitable company like Brown printing don't just change things so they are your way, learn from what they are doing right and adapt those things to your other companies.

    Pros

Lots of hours if that is what you want.

    Cons

Too much work with limited employees in production. Poor health insurance.
Seniority or work performance does not matter to Quad but rather who you know.
Spend too much time accounting time on their own computer programs than getting actual work done. They do not care for their employees. Cheap company. Not good for community.

    Advice to Management

When you buy out former printers listen to their ideas and if they are making you money do not change all the ways they do things or you are hurting yourself.

    Pros

Decent health insurance. Actually have a company match for the 401k plan. Paycheck never bounced. Pay rate ok but NEVER industry standard

    Cons

Outdated management. Pray to the god Harry in your blues or be tossed aside. Treat customers extremely well while burning experienced employees in piles.

    Advice to Management

Management hears all the concerns but they don't listen.

    Pros

There are no pros to working here. Ask the folks who were formerly Brown Printing. They got reamed.

    Cons

Low pay. Mind numbingly boring, dull, monotonous job. Horrible benefits package for a company this size. 12 hour shifts. Management lies to employees, understaffs maint. and pressroom. Uses Earthday to con employees into doing their landscaping and cleanup for them. Cheats customers by lying to them about job specs. Smart Tools only complicates the job, when they should be trying to make things simpler. The old adage fits here. Keep It Simple, Stupid. All those stupid corporate catchphrases mean nothing. The money Joel makes by conning the customers and screwing over the employees he uses for his collection of exotic cars, while the employees have difficulty paying huge medical bills because of the lousy benefits. If I could give minus 5 stars, I would.

    Pros

It was a job, paid some bills, had some benefits

    Cons

Quad is a cult, the owner (son of founder) is "Megalomaniac" Purchased my company and division, when asked if we his new employees would meet him he answered "only if I happen to be in the area". HE HAS A PENTHOUSE WITHIN 100 MILES OF THE FACILITY! YOU ARE A NUMBER! 'DON'T DRINK THE KOOL-AID!

    Advice to Management

if YOU ARE REALLY ANY GOOD GET OUT NOW!

    Cons

Very poor management, with poor support from csr. Schedule was erratic and you would never know what hours you would work or if you were working a weekend till the last minute.

    Pros

30% of the people are hardworking and quite good. At one time they lived what they preached.

    Cons

Very weak HR. HR is a social girls club with no ethics or ability to help people who work there with their problems. Pay is poor and benefits which were good are getting chopped. Company says one thing and does another. Supervisors desperately need training. Top management out of touch.

    Advice to Management

Get someone in HR who people can relate to and has the backbone to fix things. Get rid of poor employees and those in distribution who would sell their own mother to further their own career.
