Former Employee – worked at Quad/Graphics full-time for more than a year
Pros – Decent salary, good marketing support.
Cons – Not used to dealing with plants that aren't "mega-plants".
Advice to Senior Management – Get out of the Sussex war-room and hit the streets meeting clients. Sometimes the best decisions can be made outside the four walls of the boardroom.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Current Employee – been working at Quad/Graphics full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Overall the company has a great base to offer it's employees, compared to other companies.
Cons – Over time (17+ years) the fun, family atmosphere has waned. The company is getting too big for it's britches; swallowing up other companies to eventually put more money in "their" pockets, but in the meantime we're suffering. Over the last several years we've suffered little to no raises, gotten no cost of living adjustments, our deductibles and copays are rising, and other small perks are either shrinking or being done away with altogether. It's sad and depressing. The fun days of old are gone. May Harry rest in peace.
Advice to Senior Management – LISTEN to the Production force. What happened to bottom up managing? We are getting too big when the open door policy no longer exists because you are too busy to be accessible.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Quad/Graphics part-time for less than a year
Pros – Range of shifts available including night shifts. Shifts are 12 hours, all part time hours can be achieved in 2 days. Employees are welcome/encouraged (but not required) to sign up for extra hours.
Cons – Two 20 min breaks for the 12 hour shift. Can not leave facility for any reason.. this means no smoke breaks or fresh air. Do not get caught taking a quick rest from working even if your machine is down. You may have busted your butt for the last 10 hours straight but if there is nothing to do on the machine you'll have to find a broom. taking a breather is taboo.
Advice to Senior Management – 12 Hours inside a very dusty, extremely loud, chemical smelling, concrete floor building takes its toll. Just let us go outside and sit on a bench for our 20 min break. I can only imagine how much more productive we could be.

Current Employee – been working at Quad/Graphics full-time for less than a year
Pros – Good benefits, flexibility in admin positions, not so much in production - NO sick time available for production and when in orientation I mentioned that I was told (off to the side) that it didn't pertain to me...only production. They have families and get sick too.
Cons – Kinda cultish....pay is just ok. They very much expect you to join the "Quad culture" and think and act like everyone else. For such a large company, the systems are not that great. Not a lot of explanations or training. It's kind of learn as you go.
Advice to Senior Management – Pay more in line with the market - you want to be a market leader and have the best employees then you need to pay them like they're the best
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Quad/Graphics full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – They want their employees suggestions and to be engaged with the management of the company.
Cons – They pay less then market.
They are starting to be run by accounts.
Buying Worldcolor forced them to abandon most of their founders business principles.
Advice to Senior Management – Go back to Harry's Principles.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Quad/Graphics full-time for more than a year
Pros – the company is strong on the market, with innovations in the development for tablet integration of the print product.
Cons – hard managed workflow tools, employee's benefits are not up to the market level for the company of this size.
Advice to Senior Management – review current tools to make them better supported on 24 hour basis. Provide comprehensive training sessions for all production level of positions.

Current Employee – been working at Quad/Graphics
Pros – Quad/Graphics has full medical facilities on grounds with a cheap cost to the employee, gyms in several locations, and full cafeterias in several plants. Joel Quadracci is very personable.
Cons – Information sharing is not part of normal business practices. Do not ask many questions. They tell you it is ok to do so, but you will be criticized for it. While there are good parts of working at this employer, it is very stressing because you are expected to be available 24/7. Be careful what you say as employees are encouraged to let managment know of any comments made by coworkers.

Current Employee – been working at Quad/Graphics
Pros – Lots of opportunity to learn new technologies. Dynamic environments. Fun place to work. Greate benefit including gym, cafeteria, uniform, etc.
Cons – every thing is good until it comes to the salary raise. Wearing uniform can be pros for guys but for girls, they want some variety :)
Advice to Senior Management – I didn't have this but my coworker couldn't be promoted further because she didn't finish her college although her ability was excelled in every aspects than others.
