Great company to work for as an intern

    Software Engineer Intern (Current Employee)
    San Diego, CA

    Pros- Good hourly pay
    - Complete coverage for housing and relocation expenses
    - Plenty of intern events and involvement

Cons- Work experience is highly dependent on manager and team. It's possible to get stuck doing boring work all summer since it's not normally possible to transfer to a different team as an intern.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave set goals, deliverables, and dates for interns and temps before they come onboand.

    There is room for improvement

    Senior Systems Engineer (Current Employee)
    San Diego, CA

ProsStable job, competitive compensation, good healthcare benefits, good 401k plan

ConsAs a company, not creating enough growth opportunities for the future. Most employees work very long hours, there aren't enough facilities (late evening cafeteria, recreational facilities) at work place to ease the pressure

Great culture but expect to work on weekends, regularly.

    Software/Systems Test Engineer (Current Employee)
    San Diego, CA

ProsLots of perks, great culture, interesting projects.

ConsLong workings hours plus work on weekends. Regularly.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to sort out the temp employee issue. Temporary employees have to take a 2 month break after a certain period of time, and the full-times are overburdened with work during those 2 months. Either hire the temps or do give them a break in service.

    Good company

    Staff Software Engineer (Current Employee)
    Austin, TX

ProsGreat benefits, lots of resources for learning, friendly coworkers, flexible schedule. Your work impacts a lot of people.

ConsThe workload is usually higher than what you can get done in 40 hours/week. There is some incompetence in some of the teams we work with, and corporatism does slow things down. Compensation is throttled by an open agreement between several large companies, including this one. Engineering is discouraged from pursuing management path.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
