    Pros

The people are great. I loved striking up conversations with just about anybody. You're surrounded by incredibly intelligent individuals, and you can learn a lot from normal conversation. I had a relatively challenging project and I was able to see the final product before I left. Also, San Diego is amazing, I can't think of a better place to live.

    Cons

Sometimes people in other departments didn't do their job and it help up my project. There is some bureaucracy, thought significantly less than other companies I have interned with. Honestly, the worst part about the whole thing is having to leave.

    Advice to Management

Keep focusing on developing new technologies and push QCT products as aggressively as possible for the 4G era. There are some projects I'm not so sold on (Zeebo), and others that I think are great but are currently too overpriced (FLO).

    Pros

Forward looking management. Wide range of opportunities. They are pretty flexible on letting you change departments if the opportunities permit it. Qualcomm takes great care of your work-life balance.

    Cons

Pure tech focus. Could do with some sort of a rotation program on the likes of what Intel has. Without it, the opportunities are very limited for people with interests at the intersection of tech and business.

    Advice to Management

Establish a rotation program for engineering hires who can get in on the business side and help Qualcomm really diversify beyond just being a patent churning machine.

Flex-time, comfortable space, drinks and snacks provided, large company events are common, excellent benefits

    Cons

    Pros

The internship program had very good compensation and excellent accommodations. They also hosted a lot of social events to help interns meet each other.

    Cons

During my summer internship, I wasn't given a lot of responsibility or particularly challenging work and didn't really use or expand my technical skills.

    Advice to Management

Managers should try to give interns a project that will help them to further their technical skills and not just busy work.

The way they hold work-life balance in a high regard, a flexible company that values its employees and treats them very well.

    Pros

    1. Free relocation package during intern period, including relocation reimbursement. 2. Great amount of intern activities and is a good way to know other interns from all over the area. 3. Managers have plans for interns and projects are given based on each one's ability. 4. They also provide many chances to get to know different teams and fields, and also provide applications for job transition. 5. Abundant resource such as online training and tech talks, even industrial business introductions. 6. Great weather, beautiful city. 7. High opportunity to obtain rehire after finishing acedamy.

    Cons

    1. Work load really depends on the manager. Some are really pushy. 2. Total amount of interns are too large that they always miss some things or mails for some people. 3. Some interns get really simple or not-that-critical projects, which makes them feel not participating in the teamwork.
