I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The work environment was fairly autonomous. I would be assigned projects with open ended deadlines. The resources were great, and the development track for interns was top notch.

    Cons

Never knew if my work was actually being used anywhere. Kinda stuffy for a tech company. Not the best communication between departments, leading to redundancies.

    Advice to Management

The executive team should guttier hands a little more dirty with the rest of the company. They do a pretty good job, but Qualcomm, especially San Diego isa pretty casual setting. I think the executive team could get little more involved.

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very good environments, perks and pay for Interns. Work Life balance is good, you need to work for 5 days a week only.

    Cons

Projects were good. However, you may not be lucky enough to grab a project of your interest. Training material was fine.

I worked at Qualcomm full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great housing provided. Competitive compensation. Various intern events and guest lectures organized to enhance the overall experience. I would recommend the experience to anyone willing to get an exposure to some of the recent cool technologies.

    Cons

Did not learn a lot as such on the technical side. Was given a step-by-step task which had to be implemented. The project was completely thought about by the upper management of the team and the specifications provided were sometimes vague, which made the implementation process very iterative and mostly boring.

I have been working at Qualcomm as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good People. Good work. Good housing. Great location. Great Work life balance. If you are ambitious and hard working, Qualcomm is really good company to start your career and move forward.

    Cons

Sometimes the work gets hectic. Salary although high and Qualcomm is among best paying companies, it still not as high as compared to other giants like Google or Microsoft.
