    Pros

Very good company. Lots of activities for intern. Two intern weeks. Paid very good for interns. The business of this company continues to grow.

    Cons

Depending on department, it can be a workoholic culture. Corporate HQ is far from city life and can be a bit sterile

I have been working at Qualcomm as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone is extremely helpful and interested in making sure it is a positive experience. Executives are accessible and will even do lunch one on one with interns. There are a lot of smart people working on bleeding edge technologies. HR is amazing. There are lots of events for interns to have fun outside of work, and San Diego is close enough to paradise.

    Cons

Intern projects could be sort of hit or miss. Interns sometimes felt obligated to work extra hours in order to complete tasks, but felt discouraged from admitting to working overtime (and getting paid for it).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Doing a great job overall!

I have been working at Qualcomm full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The work done by Qualcomm is really good. You can tell that the people love what they do and help you in any way possible in your tasks too. I got to work on the actual project unlike many other internships around. Amazing benefits for an intern like awesome housing, trip to San Diego etc. The management and HR is very helpful and down to earth.

    Cons

I couldn't think of any cons. It was a really wonderful experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work.

I have been working at Qualcomm as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

They are very generous to the interns. The salary is comparable to the full position. They take care of everything, from transportation to accommodation. They arrange lots of activities for the interns to build the network. The recruiting staffs are very helpful and friendly. You get to work with many talented interns coming from different universities. You will be working on a practical problem that actually makes a difference (if it worked) comparing to writing a paper that nobody cares.

    Cons

I can't really think of any cons. Some people do not have enough guidance from their mentors because their mentors are busy. But it really depends on your luck.

I have been working at Qualcomm as an intern (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I've interned for a few summers in different departments so I have some perspective on this.

-Lifestyle. As an intern, they don't want you to have a bad experience. You won't bring work home, and you won't work overtime. Period.

-Responsibility. People at this company have integrity. Everyone understands the impact the company makes on the world and is respectful of that responsibility. Jerks are noticeably sparse here.

-Relationships. As an intern, you get to meet a LOT of other interns from all the top Engineering programs across the country and the world. This is the single best part of being an intern at Qualcomm. The relaxed atmosphere outside work lets you bond with your peers better than at school! Interns are housed close together (but not too close) to nurture a sense of community and belonging. Oh yeah, and the really awesome housing is completely covered for all interns. Soft beds, lots of pillows are the little touches that make the summer awesome.

-Help. HR is very friendly and willing to help you make the most of your summer. Great support system of people.

    Cons

Communication/Language barriers. But this is more a reflection of the market for hardware and software talent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep growing the intern program! The more the merrier.

I have been working at Qualcomm as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

    - Got to work on the actual technologies that are currently used in the markets
    - Applied the concepts learnt in the University
    - Competitive but pressure-less environment
    - Got to learn beyond limits
    - All the employees are very helpful
    - Interns are treated like Kings!!

    Cons

    - No glass window offices for Interns
    - not much interaction with other teams
    - less options for food

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue the efforts for Interns and increase the intern interaction with other teams in their group.
