Fun environment to work and interact

Product Management Intern (Former Employee) San Diego, CA

ProsWork at Qualcomm was not terribly overwhelming, but not completely trivial. Projects were manageable and allowed me to interact with a large number of people from throughout the corporate hierarchy. Also free sodas, waters, coffee and tea in every building.

ConsSome dead time between projects, but nothing too terrible.

Very good company. Lots of activities for intern.

    Intern (Current Employee) Boxborough, MA

ProsVery good company. Lots of activities for intern. Two intern weeks. Paid very good for interns. The business of this company continues to grow.

ConsDepending on department, it can be a workoholic culture. Corporate HQ is far from city life and can be a bit sterile

Awesome place to spend a summer

Software Engineering Intern (Current Employee) San Diego, CA

ProsEveryone is extremely helpful and interested in making sure it is a positive experience. Executives are accessible and will even do lunch one on one with interns. There are a lot of smart people working on bleeding edge technologies. HR is amazing. There are lots of events for interns to have fun outside of work, and San Diego is close enough to paradise.

ConsIntern projects could be sort of hit or miss. Interns sometimes felt obligated to work extra hours in order to complete tasks, but felt discouraged from admitting to working overtime (and getting paid for it).

Advice to Senior ManagementDoing a great job overall!

One of the best experiences ever

Interim Engineering Intern (Current Employee) Boulder, CO

ProsThe work done by Qualcomm is really good. You can tell that the people love what they do and help you in any way possible in your tasks too. I got to work on the actual project unlike many other internships around. Amazing benefits for an intern like awesome housing, trip to San Diego etc. The management and HR is very helpful and down to earth.

ConsI couldn't think of any cons. It was a really wonderful experience.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the good work.
