I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

    - Some of the smartest folks in the semiconductor industry

    - If you want to gets hands dirty with low level work like computer organization, processors, compilers and operating systems and advanced communication protocols like LTE/4G , this is a great place to start.

    - Great benefits as interns and as full time employees.

    - Learning curve is steep, mentor/manager system per intern , guidance and training is good.

    - Company is doing well. Very positive outlook for the next couple of years.

    Cons

    - Large organization and hence has uneven distribution of good work

    - Senior engineers tend to do most of the good work and interns complete the housekeeping stuff. Atleast it felt like that way.

    - Software division slightly takes a backseat over hardware division. Pay and bonus is higher for design engineers.

    - Too much work to kill your work-life balance

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

    - People at Qualcomm are talented and yet they are very helpful. Most of the people I worked with have open doors policy.
    - Qualcomm has one of the best internship programs and interns are regularly showered with fun activities.
    - Interns are automatically being considered for return internship opportunities or a full time position.
    - There are many career opportunities in the Qualcomm HQ, employees are encouraged to explore areas that fit their passion.

    Cons

None that I could think of.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Perhaps creating more collaboration areas for people to come together and discuss their projects.
    - Traditional meeting rooms are great for recurring meetings to discuss the project status, but a collaboration area could be used by engineers to sit together and code throughout the day/week.

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Great atmosphere and a great network of people to be around. Qualcomm campus is great.

    Cons

It felt a bit too confined, and sometimes you would hear people complain about the job itself, though not often.

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Cover all your housing cost. Good pay. Nice mentorship and managerment.A lot of events. You can learn a lot in a big company not only the technique. The intern week can also provide you a great change to meet other interns in different field.

    Cons

Some of the regional office may be located far from downtown of a small city. If you don't have a car. You may feel a little bit boring when weekends.

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

    - Filled with smart people: the more senior, the smarter
    - Managers genuinely care about you as a person
    - Loaded with cash to burn on fancy R&D projects that might not necessarily see the market
    - Interns are treated like nobility
    - Qualcomm pedigree is a great stepping stone to full-time offer or other companies

    Cons

    - Unclear market strategy/vision for some technologies outside of their 'core'

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out a better strategy to bring your display technology to market. Probably necessary to bring aboard display industry veterans from other companies into the senior management.

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Smart people, interesting projects, and lots of opportunity to succeed. Qualcomm provides what an internship truly should be - a learning experience that benefits both the company and the intern.

    Cons

Long work hours are sometimes needed in order to complete projects and tasks on time, although no one expects you to work more than you are supposed to.

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

    Working environment is nice.
I could do whatever I proposed as my summer intern project.
In addition, in such a top company, you would have the chance to learn a lot and take a look of many new technologies.
They also coordinate a lot of fun stuffs and activities for interns.
San Diego is a wonderful city!
One other thing is that Qualcomm provides housing for all interns.
    The provided housing is amazing......

    Cons

Only free drink...but not free food like that in google or facebook.

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Work at Qualcomm was not terribly overwhelming, but not completely trivial. Projects were manageable and allowed me to interact with a large number of people from throughout the corporate hierarchy. Also free sodas, waters, coffee and tea in every building.

    Cons

Some dead time between projects, but nothing too terrible.
