I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Awesome perks, accommodation provided, weekends trips, good culture

    Cons

Interns should be asked for preference when assigning them teams or projects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Intern should not be put on teams with busy managers who are unable to guide them

I have been working at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

great environment and limited heirarchy, you get to work on best projects within the company, project teams are flexible and can be changed if one feels so.

    Cons

the center in san-diego is perhaps better than those in india. The opportunity to go abroad is open after two years of service.

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

    For interns:

    - Great intern activities both at work and outside of work
    - Good work life balance
    - Projects: they don't expect a lot from interns, but if you demonstrate to them that you can be trusted with more responsibility, they'll give it to you.
    - Pay is competitive
    - Housing and relocation is paid for
    - Good chance of getting a return offer if you do a good job.

    Cons

I imagine that it takes a little time to move up here. This might not be a big deal to some people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you're doing. You can probably push your interns a little harder.

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

San Diego is beautiful and well worth relocating to. They take great care of their interns as well. Most full time employees I talked to were also very satisfied with their work.

    Cons

My feeling was that there were just too many people. The philosophy seemed to be "is a task hard? put more people on it". Bu then it could be just the group I worked for.

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Colleagues are smart and hardworking. There is alot of collaboration and everyone is willing to help others out. Additionally, San Diego is a great city to work in.

    Cons

Space was kind of cramped during my internship. Did not get an office or cubicle, instead got a desk that was kind of just in the middle of the hallway (think receptionist's desk)
