    Pros

    Love the hours during the Summer time, the boss works with you when you need time off.

    Cons

    Upper management really sucks and so does the pay.You never get a pay raise or vacation.

    Advice to Management

    Treet your employees like they are human beings.

    Pros

    It's a job until you find something better.

    Cons

    The previous owners were great. I worked there 15 years. When the new owners took over the place turned horrific.

    Advice to Management

    Sell the hotel before you lose all your money.

    no benefits, no overtime pay, last paycheck never issued, arrogant and self-serving nepotism

    Hotel staff Awesome! They are always willing to help guests with their needs.

    Cons

    Very poor management. No benefits, raises or incentive programs.

    Advice to Management

    Appreciate your employees and give credit where credit is due. Lead by example, be positive and respectful of all the staff you have employed. It wouldn't hurt to say "good job" or "we really appreciate all you do for the company" this can help build the morale of the employees. Maybe you could give a raise every once in awhile other then the usual cost of living raise showing the staff that they are an asset to the Company.

    Pros

    Jobs and environment are active.

    Cons

    Employees in all areas lack needed communication. All employees act entitled yet none are willing to compromise or adjust. Management listens very little to employee needs or concerns and refuse discussion when confronted. Dishonesty is a major issue as well.

    Advice to Management

    Open up to all of your employees not just a few. Listen to the people who control the success of your business. If they are not happy, then eventually you will pay for it in profit.

    Pros

    Job is easy to perform. Hotel is getting renovated. Discounts for employees for other hotels.

    Cons

    Supervisors are incompetent, easily manipulated, rude, and disrespectful to staff in front of guests. They do not listen to employees, and they do not even follow the ESA because they have a collective agreements that contradicts it. The union is terrible, only helping those they want (management) and not seeing to the need of the union members.

    Advice to Management

    Change your management to those with a back-bone, ensure that you listen to your valuable staff, and focus on improving the workplace environment not just the appearance of the location. Your staff and disgruntled, unhappy and hate being there- FIND TIME TO ADDRESS THEIR CONCERNS!!!

    Actually care about your employees. Listen to what they have to say.
